THANKS FOR THE HONESTY

Earlier today, I had the unexpected pleasure of a personal phone call, from state representative, Frank Farry, in regards to my concerns over the bill being brought before the state house, to authorize paramedics to do DUI blood draws. Not only did he listen to my concerns, but unlike others, he explained the bill in an HONEST and TRUTHFUL fashion. Something you don’t see out of many politicians or government officials anymore, for which I am very thankful.
During our 10 minute phone call, he completely and HONESTLY explained the bill and the true intent of it, which is to do two things: assist those in the hospitals in doing DUI blood draws, with proper training and authorization, but above all, making certain that EVERY legal aspect that needs to be considered in this (chain of evidence, public safety, etc.) is followed, so that no one pulls ANY deceptive actions (You know what I’m talking about Lobo!), so that this is done in an honorable and LEGAL fashion. He also listened to me, as I informed him of the illegal and unscrupulous actions of Sherriff Lobo and his Bensalem EMS Squad, as they did DUI blood draws, without ANY authorization, and under deceptive means (Wearing lab coats disguised as lab techs!), which he not only agreed was a no-no, but also told me that they got in trouble with the board of health!! Guess you don’t want to lose your paramedics to license in this area do you, Lobo! He also agreed with me that the past DUI blood draws that were done by the paramedics, can potentially be challenged in court, so I guess that your statement Lobo of, “The issue concerning the blood draws that have already been done poses no threat to losing these cases in court you the issue was a technical issue not a legal issue.” is rendered useless. In short, I have a feeling that these blood draws you did WILL be challenged, and could very well get thrown out because of your deceptive practices.
I just want to say thank you to Rep. Farry, for not only the courtesy of the personal phone call, but for the honesty you gave me. Unlike others, you took the time to respond in a genuine and honest fashion, but you respected my valid concerns and objections on this matter.

I heard about this yesterday, and read this online, but when I was informed that one of the injured fire fighters is also a PAID FF for Bensalem, that made my blood boil! Now before the trolls get on here and say their ignorant nonsense let me state that I feel VERY bad for this injured fire fighter, make that for BOTH injured fire fighters, and I pray that they get better soon. I am also equally concerned for this family, as they are in dire straits, and have NO home owners insurance. While I am glad that the Red Cross is helping, what about the long term effects of this?? My biggest issue with this is the fact that one of these men is both working and volunteering as a fire fighter, for the SAME municipality, thus committing a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (See CFR 29 553.100-106 IN PARTICULAR SECTION 103), of which there are NO exceptions! The township of course bears the main portion of this blame, as they’ve been doing this since the formation of 222! I and many others are wondering if proper procedure was followed at all in this. Most of all, I am wondering what will happen to not only this man, but the volunteer who is currently in the hospital.

If that is so true, then why was the BTPD and the Bensalem EMS forced to stop, after they were caught doing this ILLEGALLY?? Lobo also claims that this is acceptable according to the PA Crimes Code, but I looked at it, and found NOTHING to support this. Let me make something VERY clear. I am in NO WAY knocking first responders, but I want to make certain that ALL involved follow the law on this matter. The chief of Penndel-Middletown and the head of the Bucks County Ambulance Squad were more than right to express their concerns over this, especially over the legal ramifications as well as it being a public safety issue. I am also rather disappointed that I have not heard DIRECTLY from Reps Farry, and DiGirolamo, but either send an aide, or a disreputable Public Safety Director to respond. For those of you who think I am slighting first responders, know that this is NOT the case, and for the trolls who want to cause problems, save it! My concern is legitimate, and there are others who feel the same way I do. I was very much concerned on this, so I submitted an email to Gene, in hopes of letting him know just how concerned I and many others are about this issue. I bet he would really love to learn how Sherriff Lobo and his EMS lackey Topley had paramedics doing these blood draws, when they had NO authority to do so. AS a result, there is now who knows how many DUI cases in Bensalem, from last year, that are NOT valid because of this, and need to be dismissed in court! The ONLY reason this is being done, is a very original scheme to make extra $$$ for a township that is being irresponsible with its budget.

1. Questioning individuals with DECADES of experience as first responders is rather risky, considering that they have done their research, and more than know what they're talking about.

2. Show me proof that they're in this bad financial shape you so describe. This is NOT based on
'misplaced anger' and incorrect information', but FACT.

3. The articles you gave are outdated, and therefore invalid. It's very evident that this struck a nerve, because Topley and Lobo are bothered by this, and sent you to troll.
