WHAT THIS PERSON SAYS, AND BEWARE!! SOMEONE IN OUR TOWN WAS TRYING TO REPORT A
SERIOUS ISSUE TO THE BTPD, BUT INSTEAD THEY GOT THIS. CHECK IT OUT AND SEE FOR
YOURSELF HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THE BTPD WAS IN THIS, AND BEWARE!!!

We believe we are being scammed by someone stating to be part of Walmart. They sent me a check for $2500. Long story short, my husband took the letter and check over to the police this morning. To show them and give them a heads up. He spoke with a girl at the desk who told him to sit and she would get an officer. After 1/2 hr. he asked her if anyone was coming out. She told him to continue waiting. Now, Bensalem cops are sure quick to give you a ticket and the township is quick to take your money, but go try to talk to someone about something and it seems they don’t have the time. My husband was NOT told they were busy, he was told to wait and someone would see him. After 45 min he left. Thank goodness it wasn’t something real important.

NOW THE ‘RESPONSE’ FROM LOBO:

I spoke to my dispatchers and advised me that officers were tied up on priority calls and were unable to make a return to take your report right away. They should have told you of the delayed response time and for that I apologize. But we prioritize our calls and in progress calls on the street take a high priority. However just so that you’re aware and anybody else read his post any emails phone calls or letters that you get requesting money requesting you cash checks requesting gift cards or anything like that are scams. Although we appreciate you reporting them to us there’s not much we can do most of these scams originate outside the United States the federal government literally gets thousands upon thousands of these scams especially this time of the year. Your best course of action is to shred the letter don’t answer the emails and certainly don’t return any phone calls don’t buy anything or pass anything along. Feel free to email me if you would like to discuss additionally. Again, I’m sorry you had to wait but I will surely share with you the type of calls they were on when you came into the police station that doesn’t excuse the fact that someone should’ve told you that the wait would be a while. TREATMENT!! I SHOULD KNOW, BECAUSE I’VE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING WITH THE SAME
ISSUE, AND THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS! (HOWEVER, THEY WILL SEND 2
DETECTIVES OVER, TO FALSELY ACCUSE ME OF HARASSMENT AGAINST A DISGRACED POLICE !)
OH, AND LOBO, THE “THERE’S NOT MUCH WE CAN DO MOST OF THESE SCAMS ORIGINATE
OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LITERALLY GETS THOUSANDS UPON
THOUSANDS OF THESE SCAMS ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.” DOESN’T’ CUT IT!! IT JUST GOES TO SHOW, JUST HOW UNCARING
AND APATHETIC THE BTPD IS, AND WHEN CONFRONTED ON IT, THEY MAKE EXCUSES!
