I was recently made aware of something
extremely disturbing on a local Facebook page, and I had to share it here. I
had to read it a couple of times to really understand it, but I'm sending this
out to everyone, so that people will know just how inept, incompetent, and downright
idiotic, the Bensalem Township Police Department truly is. please read this
story from this brave mother very carefully and see just what I'm talking
about.
Today
I was at Target at Neshaminy with both my children. I had my 5-month-old in the
back if the cart in his infant carrier and my 3 yr. old sitting in the front of
the cart. We left the store and as I walked towards my car I noticed a man
hanging around the cart corral behind my car. I placed my cart w/both kids in
it between my car and the car next to me. I opened my trunk and went back to my
cart to grab the bags and that’s when that same man was attempting to take my
infant out of the cart. Both his hands on my infant carrier lifting my baby out
of the cart!!!!! I don't know what happened after that moment other than my mom
instincts kicked in as this man and I had a tug of war over my baby. I can't
even believe I'm typing this right now. Everyone around me jumped to my aid as
I screamed with everything in my body for help. The man let go. People around
me followed him, called the police, kept me calm. One mom in particular,
Sabrina Regalbuto stepped right up. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'll never be able to
repay you. The police arrived and this man was arrested. Dear God, thank you
with everything that I have for being with us today. My story could be ending
so differently otherwise. Please, to everyone with kids, be aware of your
surroundings. This can happen to you.

This incident, took place yesterday at
the target near the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem PA, and not only that this
mother almost lose her child to a potential predator, But now the Bensalem
police, has the audacity to respond in the following manner:
To the BTPD, are you meshuga!!! this
poor woman almost lost her child to a predator, and you're taking the word of
his 70 something year old dad, that he has an intellectual disability? Now
before anybody gets on their soapbox with me on this, let me make something
very clear, I have family members who are mentally challenged, so I know all
the things to look for in this area, and for the Bensalem police to not charge
this man, but take the word of his father that he supposedly intellectually
challenged, is just absolutely appalling, and something needs to be done about
it! To me the speaks not only of how deplorable the Bensalem police are, but
also how to plural whatever investigative system they have, as well as whatever
social work system they have is, and it needs to be thoroughly investigated.
This man needs to have charges put against him, or at the very least, he needs
to be evaluated to see if he genuinely is intellectually challenged and given
the help he needs. Somewhere in this, this man does have a basic knowledge of
right from wrong and should know that you don't touch other people’s children!
SHAME ON THE BTPD FOR NOT DOING THEIR JOBS ON THIS!!!
