Goldman also makes a very valuable point or two:
He said that prosecutors' assertions that moving the case forward more quickly will save taxpayer money and judicial resources do not make sense since they were willing to "take eight months to investigate the matter and to expend hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring charges alleging the theft of $6,000."
Goldman called the prosecution's request "shocking" and said denying his client a preliminary hearing would trample on her rights.
He also suggested that prosecutors had politically charged motives for getting the case before a jury quickly.
"If the District Attorney's Office has its way, they will rush this case to verdict early enough not to impact the November elections."
This is what Heckler and the rest of the corrupt R's want, and we can't let this happen!! Heckler and Rubenstein, STAND ASIDE!!!
