A Little Information For the Public That the Township Chooses Not to Share.

All six of the volunteer fire companies were manned throughout the hurricane Irene emergency. Many companies had 25 members or more at their stations for over 36 hours. Recently, the township announced that they would be applying for Federal disaster relief funds (as they should do). What they are not telling you is that they are not applying for any funds for the six volunteer fire companies. The Director of Public Safety called in the paid weekday firefighters and firefighter/inspectors on overtime. This was done despite all six fire companies were staffed. Many of the firefighter/inspectors are members of the local volunteer fire companies. Instead of these six members (the firefighter/inspectors, not the four paid weekday firefighters) staffing their respective fire stations, they were called in to staff the one paid engine and six non-firefighting vehicles. Make sense? The Director of Public Safety and his staff at the township building had food supplied to them at the cost of the township. This is understandable considering the time they spent at the township building. What about the volunteer firefighters staffing the eight volunteer stations? Not a meal or a dime to pay for a meal! The paid rescue squad will receive funds from the Federal disaster money.

We saw in the paper where the township went over its snow removal budget. What they failed to mention was that they repeatedly go over their snow removal budget. They have done it a majority of the years in the last ten years. The last three years in a row they have gone over. We are well aware of the costs involved in operating equipment (as volunteers the only thing we don't get is money for our time), however, we also understand budgeting. If you repeatedly underestimate a line item there is something wrong with your process. Maybe we should contact snow removal officials in the mid-west. They removal far greater amounts of snow with fewer vehicles and more roads on a regular basis. And they do all of this within well-established budgets. One county in Illinois was featured on dateline. They have half the equipment our township has and five times the amount of roadway, and yet within six hours of a storm, they have plowed all the roads in the County.

What we as volunteer firefighters are asking is for a plan. We as part of the township emergency services have yet to see the Township emergency operations plan! Does anyone else think it is important for us to understand the plan and be able to function properly?

Either no one at the township knows what is going on or they don't want to reveal their secrets. Either way, this is a danger to the emergency services and the community we serve.

We just learned that the Director of Public Safety purchased an $80,000.00 utility vehicle with auto extrication equipment. That now makes a total of five pieces of fire apparatus in the township carrying auto extrication equipment. Why is it that the townships volunteer firefighters (except the select few who work for the township) are the last to know?

All total for this winter and for Irene and Lee: $769,000, and 2011 isn't over yet!!! Get a load of this statement:
"Just last winter, Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo said in early February, heavy snow had put the township about $230,000 over its snow budget."
Between this and the over $539,000 price tag for Irene and Lee, what IF we don't get the government funding?? Are we going to continue dipping into the trust fund, and "re-arraigning" the books, to take care of this, and call it "balanced"?

I found out what it was that caused the recent council meeting to be cancelled! Apparently something very interesting and incriminating was passed around the lower end of the township. That something was the "Study" the township had done, which cost them $25,000 Apparently someone got a hold of the "study", and in it, the "study" stated that there is no flooding in that area. The person who got it, passed a copy of it to every person in the community, and needless to say the community is PISSED!! They were planning on coming to Monday's council meeting, and when word got out, they cancelled!!

This is for EVERY firefighter in Bensalem, no matter which fire house you volunteer at. I am going to say this like a broken record, until it gets into your thick skulls, that Fred Harran and this Township are using you!! If you don't wake up, and take a stand against the evil that Harran is committing against you, both he and the township are going to do to you what they did to Union! They hate Union for doing the right thing(s), and not allowing themselves to be corrupted by evil, (Such as Harran and Ponticelli), so they made up LIES about them, to get their own way. I have news for you. It didn't work. The "Oversight Committee" appointed by Henry VIII, has sided WITH Union Fire Co., and they too are questioning the Harran and the Township's actions for closing Union down. The real safety issues that exist, are ones created by none other than Fred Harran and Pat Ponticelli, and they are well documented!!
1. They FAILED to warn Union Fire Co. of an arsonist, who was starting a fire, just as they were responding to a fire call in the same area they were dispatched to!!
2. During Hurricane Irene, Ponticelli told Chief Jerri, to close down the fire house (Union #37), and bring all personnel and equipment to Cornwells. When Chief Jerri questioned him on this, Ponticelli's response was, "We are writing the lower end of the township off". Thank the Lord, Chief Jerri refused to abandon the area his fire department covers, because during the storm, LOTS of people were in dire need of help, and Union Fire Company was there providing shelter, especially to stranded wedding guests from Pen Ryn Mansion!

Now Harran and Ponticelli have the nerve to threaten to arrest you, for exercising your 1st amendment rights!! Since when is Bensalem a "police state"?? When did the constitution become "null and void"?? You cannot be arrested for speaking to a journalist, or blogger such as myself, and stating the truth! I am repeating this again...................... GO TO THE NEWS OUTLETS IN THIS AREA!! GO TO EVERY NEWSPAPER YOU CAN, and tell them what is going on!! Don't let people "Haman and Nabal" intimidate you into doing nothing, because of an empty and ILLEGAL threat. What power do they really have?? NONE!! John "the Chosen One" Matthieu

You know with all the "interesting" events occurring out of Doylestown, it really makes one wonder just how far this practice of coercing/forcing county employees to do campaigning/election day work goes. I say this because because I got a letter from someone, who gave some rather interesting information on John "the Chosen One" Matthieu. In this letter, it alleges that he was fired from Regency Apartments as Head of Maintenance, for doing the very same thing with the complex employees. I even found out from several residents, including one long time resident at the complex, that Matthieu allegedly was fired for stealing company property to refurbish his own rental properties!!
Funny thing though, the letter was correct in that I saw a lot of apartment complex employees present at my polling place, whenever my spouse and I would go to vote. You see, for years Matthieu had his relatives such as his daughter and niece as Majority Inspector, Judge of Elections, and his then girlfriend, former Committeewoman Lisa Sutherland there. I even noticed one of the maintenance men acting as a Constable?? For years they ran this polling lace like it was their personal kingdom, and it was often noted according to an election official, how nasty both his daughter and niece were. I know this to be true, because my first time as a poll watcher, one of them (possibly the daughter) threatened me!! John is also known for pulling some nasty stunts which I witnessed first hand. My first year there at LM 4 (Lower Middle 4) he posted the arrest of a local resident for something he hadn't even been tried in court for!! If it wasn't for the attorney representing the Bucks County Democrats intervening, who knows what more damage he could have done.
Now he is an appointed township councilman attempting to take over "rude boy" Szafran's old post, by running for the remainder of his term.
Let's make it a short one, and kick him out, along with "hear no evil" Kisselback, and "speak no evil", Knowles, so they can't further damage to this town the way Barbara Reilly and Charley Martin have done to Bucks County!!

Remember this?????Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
This is the 1st amendment people, and it gives us the right to not only worship the way we want, WITHOUT GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE, but it also gives us the right to speak out against something or someone we disagree with, to WHOEVER WE WANT, WHENEVER WE WANT!!
Evidently, "Beavis and Butt-Head"(Harran and Ponticelli), are so scared of me and my blogs, that Ponticelli actually threatened the chief of Union Fire Co., as well as the rest of the firefighters that if any of them (firefighters) were "caught" speaking to me, he "would have them f***-ing arrested for talking about "operational" procedures!" The justification for this, is that they are supposedly creating a "public safety risk", when in reality they want the truth kept from all of you!!
"Beavis and Butt-Head", you have sunk to a new all time low!! Face it you two!! You both are so scared of the people of this town finding out the truth concerning Union Fire co., that you not only REFUSE to discuss the so-called "18 safety issues", but you LIE and abuse the authority God gave you, by making ILLEGAL threats against others for expressing their 1st amendment rights!!! Episode 10 of Everybody Hates Freddie: Threats, Lies and Oversight Boards

THIS WAS PUT ON MY DOORSTEP, AND WHEN I READ IT, I HAD TO POST.


We are a group of township firefighters. Our years of service range from less than five years to over thirty years. We have been trying to make sense of the confusing information and lack of direction from township officials. Here are a few things we have learned.

1. The $5,000,000.00 training center is still not finished. It does NOT meet the needs of the fire service in Bensalem Township. There is no live fire training capabilities at the center. There is not even a cold smoke generating system in the building. There are STILL NO toilet facilities or classrooms. The costs to install a propane system (which is not the same as a class A live fire facility) will exceed $1,000,000.00 per floor.

2. County fire officials have attempted on numerous occasions to attend a township Fire Chief meeting to explain the capabilities of the new Lower Bucks Training Center which does meet all of our training requirements. The head of the association (a member of the Nottingham Fire Company) made numerous excuses for not permitting the county officials to attend.

3. No one, not even members of the Advisory Board established by the Director of Public Safety and the Mayor have a clue as to why the Union Fire Company was shut down!! When pressed, the Director of Public Safety REFUSES to answer questions. The Mayor refers everyone to the Advisory Committee. The Director of Public Safety and the Mayor REFUSE to provide any reasons to the Advisory Committee. We have seen this "refuse to answer, pass it on and hope it dies" attitude from the Director of Public Safety and the Mayor in the past. This time IT IS A PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE!! At the very least we would have thought that the council for Bensalem Township would have asked questions. When we approached several council members, we were told; "they don't tell us anything that is going on". What is the point of the council if it does not at the least act as a check and balance system for our local government??

4. At the last council meeting. Our fire companies were requested to attend the meeting by the township Battalion Chief at the request of the Director of Public Safety. One of our fire companies was told that the Union Fire Company was filing a complaint against our company at the council meeting (this was not true).

5. We interviewed the leaders of our fire companies to hopefully find out why the Union Fire Company was shut down. We learned that at the meeting our leaders had with the Director of Public Safety he NEVER showed them any information as to why Union Fire Company was being shut down. In fact, one fire company official stated that THEY WERE AFRAID to ask any questions or come to the aid of the Union Fire Company because the Director of Public Safety implied; "your company will be next". The leaders of another fire company stated THEY WERE AFRAID to speak out because they saw what happened to Union Fire Company when they expressed concerns about the township training center. The leaders of another township fire company CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FALSE INFORMATION to their members (two of their leaders are employed in the Township Fire Marshal's Office and another one is politically connected). Another fire company's leadership is DIRECTLY responsible for the poor location choice and very limited capabilities of the township training center. They REFUSE to provide any information to their membership. As far as our group is concerned, the atmosphere of threats and intimidation coming from the township officials and the lack of answers to any of our questions is the MOST EXTREME anyone has ever seen.

6. There STILL is not a plan to pay for the new paid fire company. The township code regarding forming a new fire company was VIOLATED with no explanation to the fire companies in our township.

7. There is no plan to employ a new Fire Marshal. We still cannot find out why they got rid of Fire Marshal Scanlon.

No answers, continued threatening and intimidating atmosphere regarding public safety coming from township officials and a lack of direction other than surprise last minute meetings to announce fund reduction for the fire companies have made serving our community very difficult.

It would be interesting to see an investigative reporter contact our township fire companies to find out what they know about the Director of Public Safety and the Mayor shutting down the Union Fire Company, the capabilities of the township training center and related costs and the lack of leadership coming from the township.

When the heat is on, the township usually comes up with a feel good public relations event to offset the issues they refuse to discuss. Can't wait to see what the publicity hounds come up with this time!

I was looking through the Township's budget and found this interesting little item:

Line item 18.00.367.902 Grant-State Community center. $2,000,000. This is listed as revenue.

This is a grant provided to the township when Schweiker was leaving office. This 2 million is not a piece of revenue every year since!

If I didn't know any better, it appears to me, like they are padding the books!!

My kudos to the person who wrote this. I do suggest continuing to look further into this, especially as to the other towns in Bucks. I was given information alleging that John Matthieu did this very same thing, and if so, I think it needs to be looked into. I also believe that Heckler should not have any part in this, if he truly is above reproach.

Get a load of this example of questionable spending!!

$5,000,000.00 dollars of Township monies were spent to upgrade the intersection of Galloway Road and Mechanicsville Road. These are State roads and are the property of the State. When confronted by residents regarding the use of Township monies to improve State roads, Councilman Szafran stated: "the State will pay us back some time."

Let's make something very clear; the State is not required to pay us back as they never asked us to do it! However, because we did the construction, we have assumed legal responsibility for the intersection! The above listed intersection is significant because it is less then 1/10 of a mile from the Mayor's street (Grace Avenue). Out of all the State intersections in Bensalem Township that need improvement (example: Street Road and Interstate 95) we chose the one next to the Mayor's street to improve!

1. Ask them how they consider a budget deficit of $6.5 Million "balanced", by dipping into the trust fund of the Township, and then "laying off" SIX people??
2. Bring up the SAFER Grant, and ask why Harran REFUSED to give a copy of this to the firefighters. Better yet, ask why he LIED on it!!
3. Ask why its so necessary to take money away from the volunteer firefighters to start this new fire department?? Ask how further on, how he (Fred) is going to pay for this new full time FF dept, as well as allowing the volunteer firefighters to lose more and more money for a "paid firefighters squad", by filing a fraudulent grant! 5. Ask how Harran could state that he cut the police budget by 10% when he states that they have over 100 officers, and there was a rise in call volume of over 18% within the last few years. How is any of this possible??

By asking VALID questions about the budget, the fire training center, and more, we have struck a nerve, and the response from them is to spread lies via Shenzi and others. I have news for them... ITS NOT WORKING!!
Come on Democrats!!! Don't let corrupt people like Joey D, get away with the spending spree he went on, (The going over budget for snow removal, which was done BADLY! Using things like the TD Bank Amphitheater to get re-elected moving of funds from one "line item" to the next to cover his tracks, that gave us this budget deficit, etc.), Don't let him and his ilk, destroy the golden opportunity we have to win by allowing this to occur. The more we learn, the more concerned about the tactics being employed by the current township Battalion Chief we become!

Members of one of the township fire companies were told that the Union Fire Company was coming to a council meeting to complain about the fire company excluding them from training. As we all know this was not true. The real reason they were tricked into attending the meeting was to deflect questions about the wasted $5,000,000.00 on a training center THAT DOES NOT MEET THE NEEDS OF THE FIRE SERVICE! If they pull a stunt like this on something that is obvious to any educated member of the fire service...WHAT ELSE ARE THEY PULLING?

We will be contacting former township Fire Marshal Scanlon to find out what real went on!

More FIrefighters Sepaking Out!!

Apparently, more firefighters are speaking out on what is taking place , especially with last night's kiss butt fest, and wanted to give me their input:

I read your posting today about last night's township meeting. As a member of the Bensalem fire service for over 40 years, I have seen a lot. However, I have nothing to compare the things I have seen in the last four years to!

Closing down a fire station without a legitimate reason. No explanation for the closure either! None of the other fire companies (well there is one with real close ties to the Director of Public Safety that might) have any idea why it happened.

The sudden meeting with the Mayor and Director of Public Safety with our leadership with no explanation for the meeting, only to learn that they were taking funds away from us to pay for a fire department that they formed without our knowledge and against township code!

The sudden firing of the township fire marshal without any explanation except; "we are going in a different direction". We are still waiting for them to tell us what the new direction is.

I am confused while they would need to take money away from us to pay for this project. Do they take money away from the police department when they add new personnel? No, they add money to the police budget! Why then, when you submitted a Federal grant for this project did you fail to plan for how you were going to pay for it when the grant ran out?

Now I get to watch a selected (by the paid township Battalion Chief) group of firefighters being lead into a council meeting (the ones from my fire company had no idea why they were asked to be there) to support a fire school that has failed to meet our requirements! Now, either we have no idea what a proper fire training facility is, or we are now represented by card carrying (and as I read on you posting before) Kool Aid Drinkers!

IF you don't believe me, feel free to check the National Fire Protection Association standards for a fire training center. You will find that we don't meet them.

Here are a few training centers in the area that you can conduct live fire training in:

1. Mercer County NJ

2. Philadelphia PA

3. Lower End Bucks County Emergency Services Training Center in the Croydon section of Bristol Township (at no cost to the fire companies).

4. West Chester training center

5. Bucks County training center in Doylestown

6. Reading PA (one of the training centers that they went to look at).

The fact is, a chief of one of our fire companies was not included in the county planning committee for the new training center. Not getting his way, he talked the township into building one in the township that despite the claims they made in the press does not meet the requirements of the fire service and still requires us to travel.

Despite what they claimed on the propaganda channel, the facility is not complete, is not state of the art and does not meet the needs of the fire service. If the two councilmen that claimed to be firefighters were in fact firefighters, then they know that the facility is a waste of millions of dollars.

I am not aware of what occurred during the last hurricane that jeopardized numerous residents of our community, but I intend to find out. I know from the confusion I witnessed at my station, that there was little to no planning. In fact, I was present when they called our chief to the township building for a planning/organizational meeting during the storm!

Instead of answering the questions posed to the council (I want to stress that the questions were posed to the council, NOT the solicitor) they pulled a stunt like they did last night.

You did accomplish one thing, you made those of us that have been sitting on the fence get off the fence.

Unfortunately, its not on the side you hoped for, Freddie!

The Firefighters Are On to You Freddie!!

HI "FRED AND BARNEY", OR SHOULD I SAY "BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD"!! DID YOU THINK I WOULDN'T FIND OUT WHAT YOU WERE UP TO LAST NIGHT, FRED?? MOST OF ALL, DID YOU THINK CHIEF JERI, WAS GOING TO FALL FOR IT?? GET A CLUE!!

Because of all the questions and concerns regarding the township training center, Township Battalion Chief Sponheimer (the same guy who stabbed former township Fire Marshal Scanlon in the back) called the Trevose, Nottingham, Eddington, Newport and Cornwells Fire Companies and asked them to send people to last nights council meeting. The purpose was to heap praise on the Mayor and the Council. You will note, they did not invite the Union Fire Company which was the one company that raised concerns about the location, type of construction and capabilities of the over $5,000,000.00 training center (which is STILL not completed). Chief Jerri from the Union Fire Company was present at the meeting (on his own accord). When Chief Jerri asked Director of Public Safety Harran why all the fire companies were represented, he replied that it was sudden and unexpected. Several members spoke praises of everything the government has done for them. Battalion Chief Sponheimer told the fire companies NOT to bring anyone that has "issues and concerns" So we thought we would list a few.

1. $5,000,000.00 to build a building to practice ladder work.
This was previously done at no cost in the areas the fire companies are responsible for.
2. $,5,000,000.00 to build a building to practice search and rescue in. This building has no smoke or heat
generating capabilities.
This was previously done at no cost within each fire station. This includes the generation of smoke
using smoke generating equipment supplied by the individual fire companies.
3. No plan for paying for the paid daytime firefighters.
4. Surprising the fire companies with a 20% reduction in funding.
5. Attempting to take away the Relief Association funds provided to the fire service by the state.
6. No inspection reports provided to the individual fire companies for the commercial properties in their
response areas.
7. Dangerous actions during the recent hurricane that jeopardized the safety of numerous citizens of our
township.
8. No plan for the fire service in our township that they are willing to share with the fire service in our
township.
9. Creating a threatening and fearful atmosphere within the fire service for anyone who has questions
about "surprise" programs they are creating.
10. No job description for the recently created "Battalion Chief" position.
11. No standard operating procedures for the paid fire company.
12. Violating township ordinances when they created the separate paid fire company.
13. Continuing to refuse to provide copies of the SAFER grant.
14. A study that says that all the flooding problems in the lower portion of the township have been
eliminated.
15. The council's inability(OR UNWILLINGNESS) to answer questions (not rehearsed prior to the council meeting) without the aid of the solicitor.
There are so many more!

Maybe we will get a group of township firefighters together to come to the next council meeting THAT WERE NOT INVITED BY THE BATTALION CHIEF TO THIS ONE...we too have a few statements concerning issues within the fire service!

NOWHERE TO RUN, NOWHERE TO HIDE!!

I Just got this from some rather P.O.'d residents of Echo Beach, and it seems they have had it with Fred and his lies.

As residents of Echo Beach we have been following the issues between the Director of Public Safety and the Union Fire Company. In fact, one member of our community sits on the newly created advisory board. Here is some alarming information that we have learned:

1. There was no refusal by the Union Fire Company Fire Chief to provide water to the paid fire engine.

2. There was no delay by the Union Fire Company Fire Chief in providing water to the paid fire engine.

3. There was no miscommunication regarding the incident.

4. The Director of Public Safety finally provided the list of 18 safety issues to the Union Fire Company. The Director of Public Safety REFUSES to discuss the issues. In fact, when they were reviewed...THERE WERE NO SAFETY ISSUES.

5. When confronted, Director of Public Safety Harran stated that he was moving forward and refused to discuss the issues that he stated required him to shut down the Union Fire Company.

6. During hurricane Irene, the Deputy Director of Public Safety ordered the Union Fire Company to abandon its station and move its equipment to the Cornwells Fire Company. When advised by the Union Fire Chief that it would mean that the areas covered by Union Fire Company would be cut off, the Deputy Director of Public Safety stated; "We are writing the lower end of the township off". The Chief of Union Fire Company refused to abandon the area his fire department covers. During the storm, the Union Fire Company provided shelter to citizens forced from their homes and businesses. The Director of Public Safety admitted that the Union Fire Company Chief was correct in refusing to leave his area. Will the Deputy Director of Public Safety be disciplined for creating a hazardous condition for us by writing us off? We will watch and see what happens.

7. The Director of Public Safety withheld information from the Union Fire Company regarding an attempted arson in a commercial building in the Union Fire Company coverage area. A second bigger fire set at that building resulted in the Union Fire Company members being placed in unnecessary danger due to a lack of knowledge of the previous arson attempt.

8. The Director of Public Safety admitted that the new training center IS NOT A FIRE SCHOOL. In fact, the fire departments have to provide their own smoke generating equipment. There is no heat generating equipment at the facility. The Director of Public Safety has no plan for upgrading the facility to permit the fire departments to train under smoke and heat conditions.

The more we learn, the more we realize the person creating the dangerous conditions is Director of Public Safety Harran.

We will be coming to the next Council meeting to get the answers that the Mayor and Director of Public Safety refuse to provide.

If you ask me, it sounds like the oversight board, and the residents of Echo Beach, are fed up with Fred's antics and lies. It also proves what I have been saying all along: This town has NO Emergency Management Plan, NO honest Law Enforcement Officials in Harran and Ponticelli and most of all.......

NO HONORABLE GOVERNMENT!!

This was something I found in my e-mail recently, that I wanted to share with all of you. I have come to see that throughout the past decade, this day has been used as a political tool, by BOTH sides, and this year is no different. Even as I write this, there is an event taking place tomorrow at the township building, which I refuse to attend, because it is just another political ploy by Joey D to make sure "his people" get in. He even has the nerve to have a little propaganda film, to promote this event!! Guys, I take this day very seriously, because lives were lost, families were torn apart, and the world was forever changed in an instant. From a personal perspective, this day is something I do not talk about much, because of how profoundly it affected me. However, throughout the years, the Lord has shown me many indications of His sovereignty, mercy, compassion, and love, which gives me an everlasting hope that I will do whatever I can to share it. In short, what I can say on this, is that its given me even more courage to speak the name of Jesus......

After a great deal of prayer and counsel from friends, I AM NOT QUITTING THE BENSALEM DEMOCRATIC ORGANIZATION!! I have news for those who are trying to drum me out, because of my faith: IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! I am going to fight this, and I am looking into getting an attorney to file legal action against Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed, for slander and defamation of character.

Dawn "Axis Annie" Davis

This is a revision for a fellow reader, and hopefully friend:

 We all know Dawn (formerly Anne Boleyn) "Axis Annie" Davis, and how its made sure that she, her "former man" Joey "Henry VIII" DiGirolamo, and his nephew Gene get tons of face time on BCT22--Republican Party TV. You see, during this time, there was also Dave Fiedler, who was the other mouthpiece for BCTV, and headed up all the concert events for TD Bank Ampitheater. The main person that was behind all of this was (and still is) Ralph Douglass, who ran the TV production behind the scenes. Douglas has long led the Bensalem Cable Advisory Board, being appointed to this position over and over again by the mayor.

Now we have Ms."Axis Annie" Davis, becoming not only the Talent Coordinator/Host, but she is also the Community and Public Affairs Manager for what is now "THE COMMUNITY AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT", for now named BENSALEM COMMUNITY AFFAIRS. In other words, she now has all of Dave Fiedler's jobs COMBINED! How did this ever happen you ask? Well, according to research, and reliable sources, after the 2010 budget meeting in which it was made known that we were $6.5 million in the hole, (You know, the very issue the Republicans DON'T want being discussed, especially at council meetings, so they will use someone within the BDO (SHENZI), to make sure it stays quiet!!), the township all of a sudden "laid off" six people, and guess what?? Dave Fiedler was one of them!!!!

You see, their story on Dave, was that he "retired", when in all actuality, he was "let go' one year before retirement, and it was done in a rather unprofessional, and possibly illegal fashion. He has said so himself, after over eight months of silence, and it if you want, can see his statement here:
Contrary to the township's spin I did not leave voluntarily. I was let go (laid off) in mid-December after 9 years of dedicated service and given a few hours to pack my office and vacate the premises. What hurt more than the lost income was being denied an opportunity to usher the amphitheater through its 10th Anniversary season. Obviously I do harbor resentment toward the township administration. In early November I told the administrative director I was planning to retire at the end of 2011 at age 65, but for some unknown reason it was determined retaining me one additional year did not fit with their finances. I have been silent on this subject, but after six months it's reasonable to set the record straight.
Axis Annie, and Henry VIII, however parted ways, so this position and title were given to her, for "services rendered". As for Ralph Douglass, there is NO mention of him within the Community Affairs Department, but he's still on the Bensalem township School Board.

According to what I have learned, if you are going to let people go/lay off people during a financial situation, one goes from the "bottom up" in a corporation/ employment structure. Otherwise, does not go terminating people in the manner in which the township did. Aside from the obvious shadiness of the whole matter, especially with Fiedler's "release", others suffered over this as well, including Rosalie Flemke, the Domestic Violence Services Coordinator, which goes to show where everyone's priorities truly are. This is NO joke, but a sad reality. Our township council members OK's this travesty of a budget, gladly signed off on ALL of this, and allowed many innocent people to suffer. Just wondering in all of this...............................

An Update on 8/30

A Small Update on the Jackal Situation of 8/30:
For the sake of certain people's "honor" and also to prevent two year old tantrum fit threats of legal action, I am only going to refer to the jackals I mentioned previously as Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Evidently, the main jackal involved, Shenzi had the nerve to pass around a rather distasteful e-mail, which was not only unkind, but also untrue. I just received the e-mail today via a friend, and when I looked at it, I had to laugh!! Shenzi knows absolutely NOTHING about me, and this person has the nerve to question my public speaking ability?? Even better yet, this person claims that I have turned the Bensalem Democratic Organization, into the "Bash DiGirolamo Obsessively Club", and that I am behind certain individuals leaving, when it is really because of their own obsessive issues concerning a long time member of the BDO. This person also falsely claims that only 6 people show at the meetings because of me, when we had 15 to 20 at the last meeting! I think maybe Shenzi should look at Shenzi for the reasons as to our "low turn out", and also come to me PERSONALLY if they have a problem with me, otherwise keep silent. As for Banzi, well this person made the mistake of false accusing me of saying directly, that Ed (Last but not least.) of being a plant, when I NEVER once stated it in writing or in public. Banzi has questioned EVERYTHING I have ever posted on here, and despite all the proof to show validity, this person still attacks. As for Ed, this person has made questionable statements on this page, and has also attacked me here and in private. As a result of this, I banned the three of them from here. I also plan on seeking legal recourse against Shenzi, and informed the powers that be, I am NOT going to be kicked out of anything, especially when I have not violated ANY by-laws of the BDO.

A Little FYI For Everyone:

A ranking official at one of the township fire companies took $1,200.00 from "Easter flower sales" to pay off gambling debts. When members of the fire company, who are also members of the Bensalem Police Department wanted to report the theft to the police department, the officials of the fire company refused to cooperate. They told the high ranking official who took the money to pay it back.

THAT WAS IT!
I was also informed of a party in which a high ranking law enforcement officer sexually assaulted a young woman, and recorded the whole event!! She pressed charges, but the ONLY thing that happened was the official was told to destroy the tape, and she wound up dead!
THAT WAS IT!! (So far.)
Now we have a Public Safety Director, abusing his power, by acting like a dictator with an honorable fire company. He even went so far as to call the FBI against them for a boat grant that was done properly, while he fraudulently filled out the SAFER grant to establish the paid fire company!

This is from a Supporter of Union Fire Co. who had some rather revealing things to say.

In defense of Union Fire Company, the facts must be stated about the uncaring attitude of the "Township" toward the residents and business that Union serves. Prior to Irene coming to our area. The "Township" wanted to move Union's equipment away from their station. This would leave that area unprotected. Of course, then State Road, Wicker Avenue, Station Avenue and many other streets flooded stranding residents. Then the clearance of the higher Hummer chief's cars were used to rescue many residents and stranded automobile drivers. There was a wedding that evening at Pen Ryn that evening. They experienced flooding, which left guests stranded. Thank Chief Jerri for not moving the equipment, those trucks/hummers became shuttle buses to the "Township" shelters which they did not have open! Many people walked to the station and their shell shocked faces were instantly relieved to find Union open and someone there to help them. Before anyone talks about closing Union, think of the people who live there (Union was established years ago because a house burnt to the ground due to flooding and the fire equipment could not get there!) All of this negativity must stop. Union is there to serve their residents. Let them do the job they volunteer to do!


I was able to confirm what this person said in more ways than one. According to what I learned, NONE of the township shelters were open when they were supposed to be, and yours truly learned from another township resident, that when their friend needed to locate a shelter via the police department, the officer on the phone told the person they didn't know where the shelters were!! Freddie Boy, Your Incompetence Is Showing!! If ANY of this is incorrect, I CHALLENGE FRED HARRAN OR HIS FLUNKY, PAT PONTICELLI TO........

Proof of the Township's Overspending/Deficit!!

Some interesting financial information:

1. Command vehicle for the township. This vehicle was not able to be utilized during the recent storm. Cost: $400,000.00

2. Training center. This does NOT meet the national standards for a burn building and has limited use for the fire service. Cost: OVER $5,000,000.00 AND IS STILL NOT COMPLETED.

3. Used fire truck in extremely poor condition for the week day, daytime only paid fire crew. Cost: donated. Repairs: over $50,000.00. It has been out of service on numerous occasions resulting in the use of volunteer apparatus. Several of these volunteer units have been damaged while being used by the paid fire personnel.

4. There was no budgeting for equipment for the fire truck. Additional costs; $50,000.00

5. Over 15 unmarked take home unmarked vehicles for the police department. These vehicles are permitted to be utilized for personal use including the transport of family members. Cost: over $500,000.00

6. Mayor's SUV, Director of Administration SUV and the Director of Public Safety SUV. These vehicles are not limited in personal use to the township. Cost: Over $125,000.00

7. Overage on the addition to the township building (police wing) over $400,000.00

This is over $6,525,000.00 plus! And this is just scratching the surface!

AND WE WONDER WHY THE TOWNSHIP AND ITS COUNCIL REFUSE TO DISCUSS ANY OF THIS WHEN ASKED ABOUT IT!!!
