Just recently, a friend of mine from around here and I were discussing the upcoming mid-term elections, in particular all the wonderful robo-calls, TV and print ads. In particular, my friend was commenting on the ads that good ole Tommy Tomlinson, has out on how he boasts that he reduced everyone taxes in bucks county by bringing in casino gambling. There’s just one problem with that statement Tommy Boy. Why is it that here in Bensalem, that despite the township receiving over $10 million from the casino, people’s property tax rebates have gone from $300 to $100, and may very well go to nothing?? Why is that the school district is still charging higher taxes, despite all the illegal activities of over 20 individuals (All of whom should’ve been put in jail!) having been exposed? Why is it that when ANYONE asks for an EXACT accounting of where the money from the casino goes, there is NO HONEST answer being given? The people put in charge of this town continue to spend money like a drunken sailor, and LIE about it, by padding the budget with false items, and when exposed, they slander and harass the ones doing the exposing??
