This is a budget that put taxpayers first as Governor Corbett continues to build upon his success from last year and makes the tough, necessary decisions that put Pennsylvania’s finances back on track. Pennsylvania needs jobs, and this is a jobs-friendly budget. By refocusing on the core roles of government, Governor Corbett has empowered job creators to flourish in the private sector. Not only are there zero tax increases in Governor Corbett’s budget, but in harmony with his pledge to eliminate wasteful spending, Governor Corbett’s budget contains zero WAMS or earmarks.
