Let's See What Haman Does Now.

I was at a DD's in the area this AM, and a very nice person handed this to me. It was very evident that the person who wrote this, is a first responder, and wanted to make sure I got it. Its also VERY evident, that there is some SERIOUS problems going on within the township, especially with our Public Safety Director, and his morals, or lack thereof.

When there was a question regarding Union Fire Company property that was investigated by the fire company the Public Safety Director decided to conduct his own criminal investigation. When the fire company asked why the criminal investigation was occurring when it was discovered that there was no problem by the investigating members of the Union Fire Company the Director of Public Safety stated “the Commonwealth is the victim, they are prosecuting.” This lead to a waste of police resources and a confirmation of the findings of the Union Fire Company investigation. This was confirmed by members of the police department and the Union Fire Company.

Now, with the recent assault of a volunteer firefighter at the Newport Fire Company by a paid member of the Township Fire Department, let’s see if the “Commonwealth prosecutes”. The head of the paid fire company was contacted regarding the assault and damages inflicted by the paid firefighter. He did nothing to notify the police and told the paid firefighter to go home after a night of drinking at local bars.

How many detectives does the Director of Public Safety have assigned to this case? We spoke to members of the Newport Fire Company who are aware of the assault and damage to a vehicle owned by the victim volunteer firefighter. They told us that the paid firefighter is trying to cover this up and keep the volunteer firefighter from pressing charges.

Is the Director of Public Safety going to hold a press conference and announce that this firefighter is a danger to the public and the emergency services? We shall see.

I'm wondering the same thing. Is Fred going to do what is right, and have this guy arrested, or is he going to cover this up, and intimidate the victim and his family into silence? We were fortunate to have former Sgt. Marren arrested and convicted, because the victim took a stand and didn't let the animals who tried to trash her character get to her, or intimidate her into silence. I am only wondering if this young man and his father will show the bravery Marren's victim had.
