TIME TO WAKE UP BENSALEM!!

It makes me laugh, when I get ignorant comments from not only the naysayers, but also Haman, Nabal, and His Majesty's court, when confronted with their sins. I especially love the statements, made by others who have no clue what is going on, but try to make "His Majesty" out to be something he isn't: a just and honorable man who deserves to continue being mayor. I have news for all of you you need to WAKE UP, and do so now, before you see in the papers that the town has gone completely bankrupt like Harrisburg and Stockton, CA.
One of the claims I get as to "His Majesty's" fitness for the job, is that the town of Bensalem made the "top 100 best places to live in", (Which by the way is the ONLY thing they can say right now!), to which I respond, "Based on what??" That we have a casino?? PLEASE!! I looked at that list, and found so many negative comments to this it was pathetic, and if MONEY magazine really knew what goes on here, it NEVER would have been printed on there!! In reality, it's a Joey D creation, and it's all based on the propaganda put out in his quarterly newsletter. In case you're wondering, check it out online at the township's website. It will really open your eyes, as to the propaganda he puts on there. Then of course, there is the TD Bank Amphitheater, but even that has its issues. In particular, now it's charging admission for its concerts, which I can bet is not bringing in enough $$$ to cover the township's deficit. The biggest issue that this writer and many others have with this, is that since when does government need to entertain its citizens?? In Roman times, there was a period of corruption, and lack of fiscal responsibility on the part of the emperor and his staff, that the population of the empire was numbed to the persecution of Christians and their killings. So much so, that it became known as a time of "breads and circuses"! Sound familiar anyone??
Here's the reality of what is going on within Bensalem, so EVERYONE knows: First, we have Ghost Employees! Theft! Absentee School Board Members! Despite all of this, the Bensalem School District goes about their business as if the taxpayers don't matter. Some examples of this, are that their first discussion on the day that the individuals were arrested for theft, was to approve looking into spending millions to renovate the high school, a project that will cost the taxpayers increased property taxes for years to come!! Then, rather than reassign staff they hire a temporary principal at the cost of $700/day! Where is the accountability of the Superintendent and the School Board? We need to make the Bensalem School District accountable to the Bensalem Taxpayers!
As if that wasn't enough, we have a Public Safety Director, who FRAUDULENTLY obtained a government grant to establish a paid fire company in violation of township ordinances. Then he maligned, slandered, and defamed Union Fire Company, by suspending operations on two different occasions, attempting to shut it down permanently, which FAILED, harassing its former chiefs, and had a former chief's son, (An Assistant Chief) FALSELY arrested on charges of workmen's compensation insurance fraud. All of which he was acquitted of! Now, this same Public Safety Director, as well as "His Majesty", and court (Council) are now facing a major lawsuit filed by the former chief and his son!!
Finally, we have a township government (Mayor, council, and police) that have a MAJOR spending problem. In the past THREE years, we have had budget deficits totaling over $20 million dollars, and their method of solving it? Dip into the township's reserve fund!! Another example of their spending excess is the $5 million dollar so-called training center on Street Road along with the equally expensive water tower next to it. We also have the "highway improvements" along Galloway and Richelieu Roads that we have yet to be compensated by the state on, plus how are we going to cover the spending on a fire department that was founded ILLEGALLY!! At the rate these officials are spending, this fund will be gone within less than 10 years, and Bensalem will wind up BROKE!! All because we let officials in charge go on a spending spree, and do this with OUR money.
