The REAL meaning of MEMORIAL DAY: 100 fellow Phoenix policeman in dress blues, attended the kindergarten graduation of 5-year old Tatum Raetz. Since Tatum's father couldn't attend her graduation, on Wednesday, hundreds of police officers converged on the school where the ceremony was taking place to support the wife and child of one of their own.
... "We tried to keep this to Daryl's squad and his precinct," Phoenix PD wrote on their Facebook page. "But [once] the word got out that this was happening, there was absolutely no way that you could keep officers who could be here away from here."
Daryl Raetz died last weekend in the line of duty.
THIS IS WHAT EVERY HONORABLE FIRST RESPONDER SHOULD BE DOING!! THEY SHOULD BE HELPING FAMILES LIKE THIS NOT OUT OF GETTING 15 MINUTES OF FAME, BUT OUT OF GENUINE CMPASSION AND CONCERN!! DON'T GO POSING WITH A FAMILY THAT JUST LOST A LOVED ONE, AND AFTER THE PICTURE TIME FADES, LEAVE THE WIDOW IN THE DUST, REFUSE TO HELP THEM GET THE BENEFITS THEY DESERVE AND LEAVE THEM HIGH AND DRY. WORST YET, DON'T REFUSE TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL OF A FIRST RESPONDER, BY LYING AND SAYING YOU HAVE OTHER OBLIGATIONS WHEN YOU DON'T!!
