UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

Howdy Scooby gang!! Had a power outage in my apartment complex due to the weather, but God STILL blesses!! While out getting my Sunday paper, and breakfast, someone dropped this note in my basket and I couldn’t resist sharing. Seems that some very brave, concerned citizens of this town asked questions of the GOP candidates for Council and School Board, and that response (or lack thereof) was very telling. Read below and see for yourself:

While my neighbor and I were doing some landscaping at his house we were approached by several Republican candidates running for Council and the School Board. They told us to make sure to vote for them in November. They asked if we had any questions. We asked these questions with blank expressions returned in response.

How can you claim accomplishments for the all Republican school board when the biggest and longest running theft of public funds and property occurred during the control of the Republican Party?

Why did the District Attorney have to rely on what the defendants said they stole? Why is it that despite repeated audits, including a recent special audit, the school district still does not know how much was stolen?

Why would the all Republican school board appoint an UNQUALIFIED township councilman to head the facilities department considering that the last unqualified, politically connected person that was placed there was involved in the thefts in the first place??

Why did the current school board permit one defendant to cash out his sick time to pay back the thousands of dollars in restitution he was required to pay after he was arrested and charged? Why didn’t the school district fire this subject before approving the release of the sick time money? This means that we paid the defendant to pay us back!

How does the council continue to draw down the reserve funds of the township to cover the gap in the budget even after receiving $11,000,000.00+ in extra revenue from Parx?

Why has the township taken funding away from the volunteer fire companies (which do not charge of us for responding to our emergencies) with all this extra money?

Why does the township refuse to allow anyone to see the ordinance that they are finally attempting to pass to make the paid fire department legal?

Why did the council approve building that training center for the fire companies on Street Road when there is one in Bristol that cost us nothing to use?

Why are they hiring a Fire Service Director for the Township if we already have a Public Safety Director?

There were NO answers to ANY of our questions. They walked away before we got into questions about questionable spending by the township.

Refused to answer any of the questions!! Walked Away!!! Ladies and gentlemen of Bensalem, this is YOUR township government at its “best”. When confronted with their wrongdoing, they either lie, or refuse to answer ANY questions and walk away. Is this the type of people YOU want representing you in Bensalem?? I would hope not! People of Bensalem, this is why we need to clean house within the school board and the council, so this NEVER happens again. This is why we MUST vote in people who will show honesty, honor, and integrity to the citizens of this town. This is why we must………

RESTORE HONOR AND INTEGRITY TO BENSALEM!!
