FIRST RESPONDERS TAKE A STAND

Morning gang!! My hubby found this vital bit of info in our newspaper this AM and after reading, I had to share with all of you. Looks like the HONORABLE first responders of this town, are fed up with the antics of His Majesty, Sherriff Lobo, and Deputy Perkins, are FINALLY taking a stand, and it’s about time!! They are also giving a long overdue apology to Union FIRE Co., and the Jerri family, which will hopefully bring about more brave souls to take a stand

   We as a group of Bensalem emergency responders got together after we read the shocking, but not surprising article in the Inquirer about our Mayor, Public Safety Director and Deputy Public Safety Director.  We knew they would do anything to get what they wanted; we didn’t believe that they would harass, threaten and arrest anyone that stood in their way.  We were wrong!

     As a group, no one knew that the township was buying a new engine for the paid fire department.  In fact, one of our companies was out at the very same factory looking at their apparatus and was standing right next to this new engine.  When they asked who’s it was, no one would tell them.  We checked the budget; there is no mention of a new engine.  Now we understand why they had to take more money from the volunteer fire service at the very beginning of 2014.  They have promised us a BIG tax increase to give us back our funds in 2015.  I guess we will wait and see if that happens.  It amazes us that the $11,000,000.00 received annually by the township to offset costs associated with the casino goes everywhere BUT to the volunteer fire departments.  All this disregard for the volunteers, even though the volunteer fire companies provide 24 hours coverage 7 days a week compared to the 40 hours a day, 5 days a week coverage, by the paid fire company.  Plus, the paid fire company keeps all the revenue generated by fire inspections!  Yea, it doesn’t make sense to us either.

    We can’t wait for the next council meeting to see how the President of the council side steps this cluster of a police department that won’t answer questions regarding the false arrest of a Union fire company fire officer.  All because the Chief of that fire company had the guts to stand up and point out the illegal activity of the paid fire company AND the disaster of a training center that the Chief of Nottingham demanded be built in the township. The one in Bristol, less than 10 minutes away provides state of the art training, with state certified instructors including live burn training AT NO COST to any of our companies.  We are the laughing stock of the state and region with the block “no burn, no sprinkler” $5,000,000.00 SWAT training building.  How did these great minds forget to put a fire hydrant at a fire training center?  How did that become an afterthought?

   

So that we make our point perfectly clear let us review the facts:

 The Mayor, Director of Public Safety, Deputy Director of Public Safety and the Detective that brought the charges against the officer from Union all claim their fifth amendment rights regarding the arrest and prosecution of the Union Fire Company officer. The witness from the towing company that was also an informant for the police department mysteriously ends up dead, right after the lawsuit against the township and the towing company is filed. Gee, how convenient is that for the township defendants?!  

They are all still in office with NO INVESTIGATION being conducted by the government of our township.  If they do conduct an investigation (not that it is going to happen), is the Mayor going to be in charge of the investigation?!

How come the new fire engine was a surprise to members of our Council? Didn’t they approve the purchase? Why wasn’t it mentioned at budget time?  Why wasn’t it discussed at a council meeting with the other major purchases for the township? Where did the $400,000.00 plus come from?

Congratulations are in order to former Councilman Mathieu for receiving a consolation prize after he lost the election for council.  It’s awfully nice to get a 17% raise to $79,000.00 a year at his recently created assistant position with the Bensalem School District.  We would love to see who he beat for that position, considering it did not exist prior to his non-advertised hiring at the school district in the first place!

I’m sure that will put a lot of confidence into the public’s mind regarding the running of our schools!   

It was nice to see that the Mayor had someone comment on the article, breezing over all the corruption and talking about a boat that Union was forced to get rid of by the very people who are now taking the 5^th! Yea, your statements are credible! We did enjoy the township attorney’s response article.  We kind of mentioned the 5^th amendment rights!  What do you mean, Kind of?  Why would you mention them at all if you have “nothing to hide”?  Why does the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety have personal attorneys in addition to the attorneys already provided by the township? Who is paying for their personal attorneys?

 

Another concern regarding public safety and tax increases is that after a tax increase the Bensalem Rescue Squad has reduced the number of emergency ambulances in service during the day from 3 to 2! Of course, they did decide to keep the tax increase and the money they get from Parx.  I guess it pays to be a lap dog for the Mayor.

    We would like to send our apologies to our Brother and Sisters at the Union Fire Company for not standing with them while they were being threatened, harassed and as it turns out falsely accused of crimes by the people who are now hiding behind the law. 

 

  I say this: shame on all of us, including the people of Bensalem for allowing this to continue.

 

Let’s see what we have on this. A mayor, public safety director, deputy public safety director, and so much more that are so desperate to hide their evil actions they will even use a pre-amble of the constitution to cover their evil!! Then when the truth via an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer came out, they send one of their minions to make a comment on something that has NOTHNG TO DO WITH THE ARTICLE!! In the meantime, they spend, spend, and spend some more, slowly draining this town of its finances, until it’s bankrupt. The people of this town, beginning with the Bensalem Democrats need to DEMAND that an investigation be done of our mayor, public safety director, and deputy public safety director, and done by an outside investigating source. This means NOT by the township, but by the FBI, and the PA Attorney General!! It’s time that we stand up and say that we will not tolerate this behavior within our town, and that we hold our public safety officials to a higher standard.

As for His Majesty and Sherriff Lobo, it's been over two weeks since the ice storm, and then a week since the last council meeting, and the question has to be asked: WHERE ARE THEY??? I asked some rather very important questions of BOTH of you, but have yet to receive an answer. I even e-mailed you Sherriff, but got NOTHING!! Could it be that I'm not important enough, or is it more personal reasons???

Yes he's at it again!! Fred "Haman" Harran is being the "Media Ho" he truly is, and trying o capitalize on a serious near tragedy. As many know there was a HORRIFIC  multi-car pile up in the turnpike at Exit #351, which is the Bensalem exit. It was VRY bad, and I saw first hand on TV how BAD it was. My immediate prayer was that there would be no casualties, and out of the 26 injuries 7 were bad enough to be hospitalized. PRAISE GOD NO ONE DIED!!!

Imagine my disgust, when I see in this article, Haman trying to get his 15 minutes of fame in, acting arrogant, and pompous as usual. He even has the nerve to think that he is above the PA State Police, especially with the following statement:
Bensalem Director of Public Safety Fred Harran said he not only made the call to divert the eastbound traffic to the Bristol Township Turnpike interchange, but he closed the westbound lanes of the turnpike before 9 a.m. – 2 ½ hours before the turnpike officially issued the closure order.
“About 45 minutes after the accident, I was concerned for the safety of ambulance personnel and firefighters so after conferring with state police, I made a decision to close the westbound lanes,” Harran said. “I wasn’t worried about making a decision; I did it anyway, but I was worried about making the right decision.”WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, HAMAN?? I did some research on this and you answered to the Turnpike Commission on this EVERY step of the way!! Most of all, this wasn't even an original idea, but you copied this off of someone (You know the gas leak on Hulmeville Rd.) from back in 2005. This clearly indicates to myself and others that you have NO original thoughts when it comes to any emergency situation, and NO VALID EMERGNCY MANAGEMENT PLAN!!

Where did "His Majesty", "Haman", "Nabal", go?? This has been the question I and many others have been asking for over a week. Apparently, our fearless leader, His Majesty, King Joey D is in hiding ever since he "pled the 5th" over serious questions he was being asked concerning the lawsuit that Dave Jerri, Sr. and Jr. have filed against the township. Since this HIs Majesty has been nowhere to be found, and so has Haman!! I have tried SEVERAL times to reach Haman in particular over a very valid question I have concerning the Ice Storm that occurred last week, but have yet to hear even a peep from him. Better yet, why aren't the Bensalem Democrats getting themselves on this, and using this for their advantage???

HAMAN'S DOG AND PONY SHOW

I had to say how much I “loved” the little “dog and pony show” you had your loyal minion from Nottingham put on last night Haman. Was that for me or the council?? As usual you’re minion is not telling the WHOLE truth on the ‘state of the art’ training center that is really an eyesore and the joke of PA.  You fail to admit that this ‘state of the art’ training center was not properly built, has no means of conducting practice fires, and is located along a major highway, which IS a traffic hazard, and could cause an accident.  While we’re at it, as to the tanker truck incident, 222 WAS in violation of NFPA safety standards, because contrary to what they will try to spin/tell everyone, they responded to this fire with ONLY 2 people, and one of the FF personnel, strayed away from his post, which could’ve been a disaster.  Of course you’ll NEVER let the public know about that will you??

As for the other fires that occurred within this past week, I bet we can find some things wrong with how the fires were responded to. I bet we would also find that the response time was not only NOT followed properly, but I bet that due to no proper training, people were injured!!

 To any who are reading this in Bensalem, I think we need to make our voices known during tonight's council meeting. They haven't cancelled it as far as I know, and we need to make our voices heard not only on what got Bryan Allen into office, but also on what just took place this past week, with the ice storm, and how BADLY they planned for it. My main concern is since Obama declared a State of Emergency in PA, will those of us who had to seek alternate shelter via staying in hotels, and having to re-stock our refrigerators with FRESH food, as well as any damage done to property, etc. be compensated by the federal gov't, or township. I asked this very question three days ago, but have yet to hear an answer. Maybe if WE show up at tonight's council meeting and ask these questions, we'll get the answers we seek.

DAY FIVE: HALLELUJAH!!!

 I just learned that our power came back on this afternoon!!! My hubby called about 1:40 PM and told me the power came on just as he got in. I AM SO PRAISING GOD!!! Right now he’s cleaning out our fridge/freezer, and doing some laundry. Next step is going back tomorrow, and having to shop for fresh food!! I still have yet to hear ANYTHING from “His Majesty”, Haman, or any member of His Majesty’s court, on the legitimate questions I posed, but I’m still waiting. 

I know many of you think I’m complaining uselessly, and not making sense, but think about this. This is the second time within over a year (Remember Sandy in 2012??) that we have had a natural disaster, where power was out for an extended time period, and no real preparation was done for it. I have repeatedly asked the people of this town for a copy of the township’s emergency management plan, but have yet to see it. All I have gotten is vague brochures, and FALSE accusations of harassing the township with right to know requests, which can only lead this writer to see that there is NO VALID ORIGINAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN in this town.

I do want to say this however, and this is just as important. There are STILL people in this town, as well as in other counties, that still have no power, and they need our prayers tonight. So tonight, before going to bed, PLEASE pray the power stays on, and also for all those within SE PA, especially those in Chester County who are still without power.

DAY FOUR: NO RESPONSE

Got NO response to any of my questions from yesterday. Guess they either have NO answers, or they can't or won't give them, because they're afraid of being caught with their "pants down" so to speak. Could it be they don't want the residents of this town to know that they have NO Emergency Preparedness Plan?? Don't believe me?? Ask to see a copy of it, and see how they react.

DAY THREE: ANYONE OUT THERE???

As usual, the township's web site, and the BTPD web page have NOTHING useful to offer on this latest situation. Seems to me like it's another Hurricane Sandy, but with ICE. Again I am wondering why no advanced planning on this, and why it took TWO days to inform people that those without power needed to seek shelter elsewhere?? Please don't give the tired excuse of "We weren't expecting to hang a left" Haman, because it's not going to work. I do have some very important questions that I think everyone else wants answers to, and I am hoping that either "His Majesty", or Haman himself will have the courage to answer. In light of the fact that President Obama declared a State of Emergency in PA, will "His Majesty" be putting in for federal funds to help his overwhelmed subjects, and will it actually go to them?? Also will those who had to resort to staying in hotels during this time be reimbursed by the township through this?? Most of all, will apartment dwellers such as myself be able to qualify for ANY federal aid???

Guess "His Majesty" was FINALLY able to get his "chosen one" into the school district's facilities management position, but in a newly created one: Assistant Facilities Manager!!! Guess Heather Nicholas owed it to him as well, since her family and he are such good buddies. Did anyone even think to ask what this man's qualifications are for this job, let alone for ANY position within the township?? How about looking into the allegations of his having stolen property from Brandywine, when the head of maintenance at Regency Apartments?? Apparently whatever "His Majesty" wants he gets in one shape or form. To the REAL facilities manager, I encourage you to be very careful of this man, and make sure he doesn't try anything shady. I also STRONGLY advise the Bensalem Democratic Organization to say something on this at the next school board meeting, and do so soon!!

DAY TWO: STILL IN THE DARK (IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE)

As I guessed, there is still NO power and it looks like there will be none until the weekend. I am still wondering why there was NO announcement on the local channel at all concerning this from our wonderful "King", or any of his minions, including Haman. How about posting something on the township's web site itself, for those who are at east able to access info by computer. I would love an answer to this from either of them, after this is over.

SMALL UPDATE ON THIS ICE STORM

3:04PM and STILL no information being given out of ANY kind concerning this on the township web site or the BTPD FB Page. What is the Township Building suffering from the black out too?? It took listening and watching Fox29 News to learn that it may take DAYS to get the power back up, and the closest place to consider a shelter (Warming Shelter), is in Langhorne, PA at Maple Point Middle School. WHY IS NOTHING HERE IN BENSALEM BEING MADE AVAILABLE??? Who can make that much of a hike from here?? Talk about NOT being prepared for this! All I can say is that you had better get on the ball with this, Haman, and you too Your Majesty!!! 
Let's hope that something happens in this area, so that people with disabilities in Bensalem, can find what they need w/o the "trek" to Langhorne, otherwise this is not going to be pretty.

Can anyone tell me if they are able to see Channel 22 or 34?? The power is out where I live, and I am at an undisclosed location still trying to get the truth out. I checked the web site and NOTHING is being said or done abut this. I thought the other day was bad with their not getting anything on it until after NOON, but this is absurd!!

NO MORE PROPAGANDA CHANNEL??

This is just too funny for words!! I was checking the local Bensalem channel on channel 22, (You know the Bensalem Propaganda Channel.), and found this on the screen.

What's even more interesting is that it's been like that since last night, and was only taken care of a few minutes ago!! It I didn't know any better I was under the impression that we had no more channel 22!! Why did it take so long to get the channel back on the air?? As of now "HIs Majesty" just got on the air live and is giving a "State of Emergency" Announcement!! Where was "Axis Annie", when we needed her?? Where was our fearless leader "His Majesty, Joey D", and his wicked Sheriff Haman, with the necessary storm updates?? You know that you can't leave the poor little "sheep" of Bensalem without any IMMEDIATE, vital, and accurate information, for even a moment, especially in light of this snow storm we are in. That is unless you want your citizens to learn EVERYTHING from FOX 29 News!!
