I found this on the Patch, and had to share:
"We on Independence Ct can verify to the arrogance of the council by placing themselves above the common folk. The Mayor also gets credit here too for lying to people early on in a process whereby a 2 acre parcel of land was purchased by Bensalem's own Director of Public Works, James Ryan. Three zoning changes later along with numerous variances passed enabled the building of 16 townhomes on a two acre site. The standing zoning calls for no more than 4 townhomes per acre. This building project has been going on for over 2 1/2 years and only recently did they finally put roofs and shingles on. The ties to this project ran deep in township government. For me, Pilieri and Szafran need to go. I agree that the other two guys voted just for the purpose of coming up roses on Election Day. They need to go also. Years ago, a friend of mine in the Bensalem Post Office confessed he heard the Mayor make a statement that he would build on every open piece of property in the township where possible. It seems that statement is all too accurate."
