Well, the reason for this, is that the people running this town, have been spending $$$ like there is no tomorrow, and its catching up to them. Just last year, the township had a $6.5 million dollar deficit, but they "solved" it, by laying off SIX people ( I know this to be true, because I spoke with one of them.), and dipping into their trust fund. Now there is another potential shortfall this year, but they REFUSE to talk about it! Don't believe me?? Wait until December, after the elections, and you'll see!!
