I Found This Information With My
Newspaper this Morning, and had to share. Looks like Haman and Henry
VIII are really scared, and as usual getting their minions to write and
attack on something they know LITTLE of.
Responding
to the comments in the Courier Times regarding Marine 37 we did do a
great deal of research and we did find some very interesting
information.
First, the 37-1 box times are correct. Engine 222 did
arrive within 5 minutes and clear within 9. What the writer failed to
report was that there were only 2 firefighters on Engine 222. That is
NOT the required amount. The clock does not stop running UNTIL there are firefighters on a fire suppression vehicle that can initiate fire suppression! Two does not cut it.
Second,
we read the Union Fire Company grant. They gave us a copy. Unlike the
township that continues to REFUSE to provide the SAFER grant or the plan
to fund the SAFER grant to the fire service. The grant indicates that
the new marine unit will have fire/rescue capabilities along with
enhanced EMS, hazardous materials and homeland security capabilities. The primary purpose of the marine unit IS NOT homeland security. It has capabilities to be utilized by fire, ems, police and hazardous materials teams.
Third, just like the Bucks County Hazmat team which rarely, if ever gets called out there is a need for this service.
We wonder what would happen if someone studied the amount of money we
put out for the salary of the person in charge of the county team and
what we actually get for his service. We know what he gets from it. A
study conducted for the Delaware River and Bay Security Plan confirmed a lack of fire suppression capability north of Philadelphia and a need for a fire boat. Go to the Coast Guard base and review the study yourselves.
Fourth, the
Director of Public Safety and the Deputy Director of Public Safety have
NO Marine operations training which is confirmed by their statements to
the press. The U.S. Coast Guard has not provided fire suppression service on the Delaware River since 1974.
Fifth, the Director of Public Safety continues to make derogatory statements about the Union Fire Company to the press. Besides his ego, how does that benefit the community?
Sixth,
where are the 5 council members? If they continue to tell everyone they
are not told anything, then why are they there in the first place?
Aren't they supposed to be the check and balance system that prevents
this mess?
Seventh, shame on you Mr. Mayor!! How can you permit this kind of behavior from your employees? Maybe you should stop securing your "friends" township jobs and start doing the one you were elected for. So far, more money from the casinos has meant more job security for your "friends". That money was supposed to go to offset the costs of emergency and township services resulting from the casino. Well???
Eighth,
you Fred Harran, have provided false information to the public,
attacked and humiliated the Union Fire Company and its members including
threats of arrest!!! Well Harran, we guess you did learn some tactics from your domestic violence training after all!
Ninth, criminal acts conducted by members of the paid fire department continue to be covered up at the expense of the safety of the community and the Emergency services.
Tenth, it is amazing that the township announces that they did not support the marine unit project. They knew about it for six years!!! The Mayor confirms he knew about it two years before the marine unit was even ordered. No where do they state they told the Union Fire Company NOT TO ORDER THE MARINE UNIT, even though they had a copy of the grant TWO YEARS before the marine unit was ordered!
Eleventh,
it is sad that the people that know the least about the project are the
ones being instructed to write the most about it publicly. Then again we know who you are, and who has instructed you to write such false and slanderous statements.
The good news is that you have awakened us to look into ALL aspects of
local and county government pertaining to emergency services. Kathleen,
thanks the information we have discovered at the county level shall
prove very interesting to the public. I am sure your family will be
happy with this news.
Twelfth, there is no accountability
in Bensalem Township government. They put money in the budget in line
items that either NO LONGER need to be funded or should be funded at a
MUCH REDUCED rate. Then they move it around into line items that were
not properly budgeted without the knowledge of the public or the Council. If it is not needed, reduce the budget and save the taxpayers some money. Or, better yet, HAVE AN HONEST BUDGET!! In 2011 you listed $750,000.00 from a port security grant in your budget that you never received!! Isn't that falsifying a government budget? Don't believe us; get a copy of the 2011 budget!! It is listed under grants funds received and utilized!!
Thirteenth, is there anyone left who believes Director Harran is not using his position to make personal, unfounded and dangerous attacks on the Union Fire Company? Contact the Union Fire Company yourselves; bring all the accusations from the Director of Public Safety with you. We did! They will provide written, factual information that refutes all of the attacks by the Director of Public Safety. Speak with the Chief of the Croydon Fire Company regarding the "water incident". You
will be shocked to learn how is information including video and still
photo evidence about the "water incident" was refused by the Director of
Public Safety.
Fourteenth, look back through history and see
what this kind of behavior from elected and appointed officials has done
to communities and countries in the past.
Fifteenth, the Director of Public Safety and the Deputy Director of Public Safety provided false and misleading information to Federal authorities in an attempt to have members of the Union Fire Company arrested. All of these agencies conducted investigations including the FBI. The false charges were "not sustained" and the file was closed.
Sixteenth,
the people of this community need to review the history of this
administration, the millions of dollars spent with NO supporting facts. The
conduct of the Director of Public Safety and the Deputy Director of
Public Safety should be publicly reviewed regarding the Union Fire
Company. Action needs to be taken now. Wonder who is next?
ANYONE CARE TO CHALLENGE THIS??
