FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER: Day 39 - November 5, 2012
Target: Future Hope
Hebrews 12:28
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let
us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and
godly fear.
Founding Father Quote:
"The Lord will not
cast off His people; neither will He forsake His inheritance. Great
events are most certainly in the womb of futurity."
-Abigail Adams
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Your Word says that Your desire for us is peace and
not evil, to give us a future and a hope. Without You we have no hope.
But through the blood of Jesus Christ we have been redeemed and are a
people with a rich inheritance, if we will only acknowledge the One true
God. America has all but kicked You out. We ask You to forgive us for
that, and to restore us once again to a nation that honors You. Your
Word says, "Hope thou in God." We place our lives, our country, our
children, all that we are in Your capable hands, acknowledging that we
are a weak people. In You, our weaknesses, You are made strong. We ask
that You outstretch Your mighty arm and cover us with Your
righteousness. May the bright hope for tomorrow grant us peace for
today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
JUST AS DANIEL ASKED FOR HEALING
AND FORGIVENESS FROM GOD FOR ISRAEL, OUR NATION NEEDS IT TOO LORD. HELP
US TO REMEMBER WHERE WE CAME FROM, AND WHO BROUGHT US HERE. ABOVE ALL,
BRING US BACK TO YOU, AND RESTORE OUR LAND!
