We as a group of emergency responders have begun meeting regularly since the shenanigans from the Mayor and Director of Public Safety have become painfully obvious.
Many of us received our Mayor's $200.00 I'm buying your vote check today. What a joke. He's giving us $200.00 (it's an election year, it is usually $100.00) to buy our votes. He would have done better if he kept the $200.00 and allowed us to keep our earned income! What a joke!
Several of his Republican servants have been walking through our neighborhoods trying to drum up votes. When the candidates running for council were asked by several of us if they would vote against wasteful spending and defy the Mayor, they remained silent. We asked what good it would do putting them on the Council if they were just going to rubber stamp wasteful spending. They didn't answer. One councilman who has been on council for more than 20 years was asked why he wanted to remain in office. He stated that he had 'unfinished business' to improve our town. When we asked him what he had accomplished so far, his only response was more police. We asked why we needed more police. He replied; "because of the casino". When we showed him, his prior statements stating there would be no increase in crime because of the casino, he had no response.
Candidate Fields told us she was the first woman to run for council in 20 years. We told her, females ran on the Democrat ticket. She told us that doesn't count! When we asked her what she would do to curb the wasteful spending she did not answer. We asked her if she was aware of a $6,000,000.00 budget gap. She did not answer. We asked her if she was alarmed that we had to get a $60,000,000.00 bond (AKA a loan!) to pave our roads. She said she was concerned. We asked if she knew where the $11,000,000.00 from the casino was going each year. She had no idea. Appears to us she is a rubber stamp for the Mayor.
Notice we have heard nothing about the DiNardo connection with the Mayor OR the lawsuit these guys were filing against "Big Pharma".
They will do anything to muddy the water and hide at best, their incompetence.

HE’S HOPING THAT YOU’LL BUY HIS ‘EXPLANATION’, AND THAT YOU’RE TOO STUPID TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. THE GOOD NEWS IS, THAT YOU CAN PROVE HIM WRONG. I’M NOT TELLING YOU WHO TO VOTE FOR, BUT I AM ENCOURAGING YOU TO CAREFULLY THINK ABOUT WHAT THESE BRAVE AND HONORABLE MEN HAVE JUST SAID. THINK ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE INDIVIDUALS RUNNING FOR COUNCIL, HAVE BEEN CAUGHT WITHOUT ANY ANSWERS, LET ALONE HONEST ONES, TO THE QUESTIONS OF THE RESIDENTS OF THIS TOWN. THINK VERY CAREFULLY ABOUT THE MASSIVE WASTEFUL SPENDING, THE LACK ANSWERS TO OUR LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS, LACK OF HONESTY, BUT MOST OF ALL, THE LACK OF COURAGE AND/OR WILLINGNESS TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT.
