JUST WONDERING A FEW THINGS MR. CHAMPION:
1. Interesting that you bring up Fireman's Field. Once again, a friend of the Mayor with no experience in the
area of agricultural landscaping was awarded the contract to build the field. This was the same friend
who received the no bid contract to change the intersection of Galloway and Mechanicsville roads. This
was the same intersection that the Council and Mayor said we would be reimbursed by the State
WHICH DID NOT give the township authority to change the intersection and did not give the
$5,000,000.00 back to the township and has no intention too!
2. I guess they forgot that we receive more than $11,000,000.00 from the Casino for more than a decade
Mr. Champion are you implying we STILL need to draw down $1,600,000.00 a year from the reserve fund to
balance the budget? What about the earned income tax? Are you aware we are the only municipality
in the STATE to create an EIT AFTER receiving host casino money? By the way, the council is aware
there is yet another multi-million-dollar budget gap coming for 2018. Guess they won't say anything
about it until AFTER the election and announce that it was a complete surprise to them!
3. Hulmeville road is a state road. The township did not create the turning lane. The State did. We did
spend $5,000,000.00 to create a turning lane on Mechanicsville road so the Mayor did not have to
wait too long to head home!
4. How about the fact that the Mayor's son was on probation for a Felony, committed another Felony while
on probation, violated his probation by moving without notifying his probation officer to live with a drug
dealer in Morrisville, was found guilty of the second Felony (burglarizing a business in Bensalem) and
was given probation again?!!! Political influence?
5. Let's not forget the Mayor appointing DiNardo to the township Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board than
denying he did so! Oh, and it just happened that DiNardo's gun charge was dismissed on a
technicality! Right! How much money did the Mayor get from the DiNardo family for his election
campaign?
6. Despite all this increased revenue, the township still had to get a $60,000,000.00 bond for
road repair! How does that make sense? Where is all the money going?
7. Go to the Fall Festival Mr. Champion and ask the Mayor and Council how volunteer firefighters can
also be paid firefighters in the township, in clear violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. I can give
the exact sections if you need them. When confronted with the violation by citizens and firefighters,
the Mayor said the township was exempt. From Federal Law?!!!
8. Does the Mayor really need a new $50,000.00 vehicle every other year? For what? Where is he driving
to? Miles to Doylestown to attend Republican Party meetings should not count.
9. Why don't you look into the Waterfront development project, see where all the contaminated soil went,
where it was dumped and while it was suddenly no longer contaminated AFTER it left State Road?
10. Do you know how much money the Mayor has earned on real estate investments in Bensalem that
magically received numerous variances without question? Do you know the name of the former
councilman that received more than two dozen variances on his hotel project at Street and Kingston?
What happens when the money runs out from the sale of our water and sewer department and we can no longer funded the township bloated budget?
Scare tactics Mr. Champion no longer work. Mr. Allen will spend the $72,000,000.00 and eliminate the waste. There is a lot of waste in our current government that can be eliminated and balance the budget.
Mr. Champion, we can name a lot more if you would like! Including a political appointment of a former councilman to a school district position without advertising the position OR the former councilman being remotely qualified for the position.
I'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS!!
