I RECENTLY READ A VERY INTERESTING ONLINE ARTICLE FROM SOMETHING CALLED THE BENSALEM TIMES, AND BOY WAS IT EVER AN EYE OPENER! IT WAS AN ARTICLE ENTITLED MEET THE CANDIDATES, AND FROM WHERE I STOOD, IT WAS REALLY ONE SIDED IN FAVOR OF HIS MAJESTY. IT WAS FULL OF ARROGANT BOASTS CONCERNING HIS MAJESTY, AS WELL AS A GREAT DEAL OF DECEPTION. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE TO SEE THIS, BUT WHILE OUT I HAD ANOTHER WONDERFUL DELIVERY TO MY DOOR FORM OUR HONORABLE FIRST RESPONDERS, AND THEY TOO FOUND THIS ARTICLE FULL OF YOU KNOW WHAT! CHECK OUT ARTICLE, AS WELL AS THE JUICY TAKE THESE HONORABLE MEN AND WOMEN GAVE ME ON THIS ARTICLE, AND SEE THE REAL TRUTH, FOR YOURSELF.
We are being forced to meet more than once weekly for lunch and to discuss the Mayor’s increasing false statements that he is the best thing since sliced bread for our township. This has resulted in several members of our emergency services group gaining weight!
Let’s review his latest claims to fame an accomplishment in which he shares the credit with NOBODY!
Immediately, he re-opened the budget and took out $5,000,000.00 toward repair of drainage systems and roads. He did that all by himself! In addition, what $5,000,000.00 projects and departments were cut to obtain this $5,000,000.00? IF, as he claims the projects are 75% complete, then why did we need a $60,000,000.00 bond to repair roads?!!!
A sign was hung and small businesses took off? Really?!! Ask the small business owners in our township about their taxes? Ask the day care on Galloway Road that was forced to close so it’s property could be bought up, and the Mayor’s own property next to the daycare, sold to a church lining the Mayor’s pockets.
Adding 25 officers to the force AFTER he sold the public that Parx Casino would not increase crime in our township! Again, Really?!!! In fact, none of the additional officers are assigned to Parx Casino. Why the sudden need for all these additional officers, unless the crime rate in Bensalem has RISEN during your tenure Mr. Mayor? In fact, the crime solving statistics for our department have not changed since the addition of these officers. Mr. Mayor, there are police reports, that the police department was used to INTIMIDATE your political opponents, and in one case threaten a sitting councilman! You were made aware of these incidents and did NOTHING! In fact, you promoted one of the people involved!
Without the EIT, the Mayor stated that 25-30 police officers would have to be laid off! What about other departments in your government Mr. Mayor? Why do YOU feel the need to create fear? Taking yet another page out of the Clinton campaign to get your way! That is sad and pathetic at best!
He claims to have turned an old farm into a modern township building. Once again, he did this all by himself! Why don’t we take a look into who owned that old farm?!
He takes credit for the DNA lab then claims that it will cut down the time for an autopsy to 90 minutes! The DNA lab CANNOT perform autopsies! And he did this all by himself! Either he doesn’t know what DNA is, or he doesn’t know what an autopsy is, or, he doesn’t care about the truth, and he just wants credit for himself!
Why doesn’t anyone ask the Mayor, how much additional money he has made, as a result of being the King of Bensalem?
He never bothered to look at ways to save money by reducing the size of government, as long as he gets to give out political jobs AND get a new SUV every other year, he could care less how much it costs the taxpayer.
Claiming to keep taxes down, then suddenly discovering a $9,000,000.00 gap in the budget, less than a month before it was to be adopted is incompetence at best.
GEE YOUR MAJESTY, YOU MADE BENSALEM THIS WONDERFUL PLACE ALL BY YOURSELF?? GIVE ME A BREAK!! I FOR ONE WOLD LOVE TO KNOW HOW YOU GOT THAT OLD FARM THAT IS NOW OUR TOWNSHIP BUILDING. I’D ALSO LOVE TO KNOW HOW YOU SCREWED OVER THAT POOR DAYCARE ON GALLOWAY ROAD, FOR YOUR OWN GAIN, AND MOST OF ALL, I’D LOVE TO KNOW HOW MUCH $$$ YOU HAVE MADE AS A RESULT OF BEING ‘KING OF BENSALEM’.
HOW MANY MORE LIES DO WE HAVE TO HEAR, BEFORE WE PUT A STOP TO THIS MADNESS PEOPLE?? SCRIPTURE HAS A FITTING VERSE FOR YOU YOUR MAJESTY AND IT GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS: “PRIDE GOETH BEFORE DESRUCTION AND A HAUGHTY SPIRIT BEFORE A FALL.” (PROVERBS 16:18) YOU ARE A VERY ARROGANT AND PRIDEFUL MAN YOUR MAJESTY, AND UNLESS YOU REPENT, GOD WILL BRING YOU DOWN!!!
