We were reading posts of the Bryan Allen for Mayor Facebook page and were amazed at the attacks by those supporting the 24-year entrenched politician that has done so much damage.
Several of them claimed Bryan was against the police. NO WHERE has it ever been stated that Bryan was against the police! Bryan IS against frivolous spending. This is another fear tactic taken from the Hillary campaign manual!
As long time Republicans we are amazed that the local Democrats are the ones promoting smaller government, term limits and accountability and the local Republicans are spouting fear tactics!
These defenders of our current Mayor (many like Paul Lacerte who posted about Bryan not liking the police) received a job within the police department that was not advertised to the general public!
The facts are quite simple, the Mayor has been using our reserve fund at an admitted rate by one of his supporters of $1,600,000.00 per year (though we know it is much higher) to fill budget gaps he created with needless purchases and politically appointed people to the township payroll (example: The Director of Public Work's wife to a position within License and Inspection that she has since retired from).
We are the ONLY community in the entire state that added an Earned Income Tax AFTER receiving host casino money! More importantly, there is yet another budget gap that cannot be filled with the reserve funding which will result in an increase in the Earned Income Tax which our current administration and the Rubber Stamp Republicans on the Council refuse to discuss!
Former Councilman Szafran did raise this issue before leaving office. He was shut down by the township solicitor!
The Republicans are using fear tactics to avoid facts!
It is interesting that several of them compared our township to Bristol Township. It should be noted that the current manager of Bristol Township is the former manager of Bensalem Township. Instead of our current Mayor firing our former manager after his third hit and run in a township vehicle, our Mayor allowed him to resign taking with him a $741,000.00 severance package!
HOW LOW CAN THEY GO!! EVIDENTLY VERY LOW BY THE LOOKS OF THIS. I ESPECIALLY LOVE HOW THESE JOEY D GROUPIES, CONTINUE TO SING HIS PRAISES AND THINK THAT HE CAN DO NO WRONG, DEPSITE EVERYTHING TO THE CONTRARY. THIS IS A CLEAR EXAMPLE OF THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND, AND IF ALLOWED TO CONTINUE, IT WILL COST THIS TOWN A GREAT DEAL. I AM VERY GLAD THAT THESE HONORABLE FIRST RESPONDERS MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT THE STATEMENTS MADE BY MR. LACERTE, AGAINST BRYAN OF NOT LIKING THE BTPD, ARE OUTRIGHT LIES, AND THAT THEY SEE THE TRUTH ABOUT BRYAN ALLEN. THAT HE TRULY CARES ABOUT THE POLICE, AND WANTS THEM TO BE PROPERLY FUNDED. MOST OF ALL, HE WANTS THEM FUNDED, WITHOUT SPENDING $$$ LIKE A DRUNKEN SAILOR ON SHORE LEAVE!!
