FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER: Day 18 - October 15, 2012

Day 18

Target: Military

Nehemiah 4:9, 13-14

Nevertheless we made our prayer to our God, and because of them we set a watch against them day and night.

Therefore I positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we pray for our military today as we acknowledge the importance of national defense. From the founding of America, You have guided the great military minds who have faithfully led our troops to protect and defend our freedoms. Ironically, we have used these very freedoms to allow other gods to come into our country and to hold a place of honor. We have brought shame upon ourselves as we have dishonored Your holy name. Our military machine has been prevented from its righteous purpose because You are no longer held as its Master Strategist. Lord, forgive us. Take charge of our military and give unprecedented wisdom and courage to our military leaders. May they do what is good and right in Your eyes. Protect and provide for our military troops and their families for the sacrifices they make every minute of every day. May the remnants of our freedoms be preserved, and those that have been lost, restored. Raise up godly leaders within our military, that we might once again secure our national borders and protect the freedoms we have so callously taken for granted. In Jesus' name, Amen.

THIS NEEDS TO APPLY TO OUR POLICE FORCE AND THE ONES LEADING THEM. RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE INDIVIDUALS LEADING OUR POLICE FORCE WHO HAVE COMMITTED HORRIBLE, CRIMINAL (YES CRIMINAL!!) ACTS AGAINST OTHERS, INCLUDING COVERING UP THE DEATHS OF MULTIPLE INDIVIDUALS, MOST OF THEM FEMALES. THEY SHOW NO RESPECT FOR WOMEN, NOR DO THEY RESPECT THOSE OF DIFFERENT RACES OR CULTURES. MAY REAL GODLY AND HONORABLE CANDIDATES FOR OUR LOCAL OFFICES ARISE NEXT YEAR, AND REPLACE THE GODLESS ONES WHO HAVE BEEN IN CHARGE FOR SO LONG, AND MAY JUSTICE SWIFTLY COME TO THE ONES WHO HAVE COMMITTED THESE SINS AGAINST GOD AND MAN.
