Day 20

Target: Stewardship

Genesis 1:27-28

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Prayer:

Jesus, You have indeed created all things and entrusted us with their care. As we have failed in our mission to preserve that which is right and good, others who do not know You have risen to power, perpetuating rules and regulations in the name of environmentalism, economics and social justice. These rules have stripped us of our freedoms. Forgive us for not being the good stewards You created us to be. Forgive us for an ungrateful spirit, often taking for granted the blessings You have so graciously bestowed upon us. We ask that You guide and direct us in Your pathways, as we begin to diligently seek Your will for our lives. May we begin to show You in a very real way, our deep appreciation for all You have given to us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

As I read this, I think of all the examples of "progress" I have seen in this town when it comes to being good stewards of this land. Guess what?? This town has been dishonest with you on it. Joey D and company gave lands to a very wealthy sycophant, so he and his children could run around on it in their big old ATV's. We have another example of the dangers of overcrowding/over development with an eyesore on Independence Ct., where one of his majesty's employees is still not finished building whatever its supposed to be there, and in the meantime lives are put in danger from the materials there, as well as the environment itself. Meanwhile we get useless fast food joints that give out low paying abusive jobs to people while all the real jobs have gone because of all the strong arm, and defamation tactics put against them. Top it all off, with a FIVE MILLION DOLLAR Fire Training Center that was inadequately built, and designed, as a result its USELESS for the training needs of the fire fighters!! Of course its perfect for Haman's little toy solders to play games in it.
Lord, Please Remove These Incompetent, EVIL Corrupt People From Office, and Replace Them with People of Honor and Integrity.
