In one section of the town’s budget, Bensalem listed $311,700 for the salaries of Public Safety Director Fred Harran and Deputy Director Pat Ponticelli.
Yet, their salaries cost the township $343,448 in 2017, wage documents show. Harran received $188,148 and Ponticelli got $155,300 in wages, according to the township.
The $31,748 difference was the result of other benefits such as additional pay for the numbers of years worked and subsidies for higher education, said John Chaykowski, finance manager for the township.
“The W-2 wages that were provided (to the newspaper) include benefits such as longevity and education pay,” Chaykowski said.
SO THIS IS WHAT WE'RE PAYING YOU FOR, LOBO AND DEPUTY PERKINS?? HOW ABOUT WHAT IT TOOK TO GET YOUR LABOR ATTORNEY TO GET THAT INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER OFF YOUR CASE FOR USING A TOWNSHIP ISSUED SUV, TO COMMIT A CRIME IN?? MANY OF US IN THIS TOWN WANT TO KNOW!!
I APPLAUD JIM MCGINNIS FOR HIS TENACITY IN GETTING THIS. I REMEMEBR ALL THE HEADACHES AND HARASSENT I GOT FOR FILING RTK REQUESTS, ESPECIALLY THE FALSE ACCUSATION THAT I WAS HARRASSING THE TOWNSHIP BY FILING THESE RTK REQUESTS.
