This is rather a sad statement on this town, but as usual it figures, since this town puts in things that never do well, including low paying take abuse jobs such as this. We have enough fast food/ retail joints. This town need to invest in REAL businesses.

1. Why are both of you, claiming that I am spreading "lies and hate", especially about the first responders of this town, when you know this to be untrue??
2. Why has Haman accused me of "Harassing the township with right to Know requests.", when it is my right to do make these requests? How is my right to know the truth, harassment??
3. You (Haman) made FALSE allegations against Union Fire Co., Closed it down TWICE, with intent to shut it down PERMANENTLY, but FAILED, when the new President of the fire company exposed you. Why haven't you PUBLICLY apologized for this??
4. Haman claims that there was "no valid case", against a high ranking fire official at Cornwells Fire Co./paid fire fighter who sent disgusting cell phone pics of himself to a female volunteer fire fighter at Cornwells. This same person is involved in the school district's theft of time investigation, but has not been arrested in this. Why is there NO THOROUGH INVESTIGATION into either??BTW.. What is the status of the investigation into the school district "theft of time" case?
5. Haman, what was the purpose of using your police force for the purpose of harassing the Jerri family, and plastering Dave Jerri Jr's face ALL OVER THE ELECTRONIC BILLBOARDS in Philadelphia, for a crime he DID NOT commit?? Where is the apology for this??
6. Why have you "your majesty" refused to give myself and other concerned citizens of this town honest answers concerning the township's budget, by offering any type of status updates (i.e. monthly, quarterly, etc.) to us? Whatever happened to when the Casinos got voted in our house taxes would be lowered???????? This year your GREAT mayor also wanted to take away our SMALL check for taxes which was even SMALLER this year. When an official is in office TOO LONG it does not do well for the community. Are mayor is a great man and a great mayor. But the only mistake he made was starting up the paid fire company when we have all the vol. firefighters in this township for almost a hundred years. This paid company is costing us Thousands and Hundreds of thousands for the Damaged trucks and. Equipment the law suits. Crashing the trucks but because the drive like animals. One paid fireman was a Volunteer had for Accidents as a Volunteer. And as paid he had three to for Accidents and he is still driving. It's a waste of are tax paying money. Yes they are inspectors to and never get much of that done because they are driving around all day. Get rid of them than you got my vote. Save us money.

Mike first of all you should have taken a basic English class before you commented or used spell check. The information you throw out there is false with little to no data or research to back it up. All the volunteer fire chiefs agree with the need for a paid crew during the daytime hours when the availability of volunteers is low. Bensalem is not the same community it was 20 or 30 years ago. The Police department and EMS have grown in size to keep up with demand for service. Bensalem-township is the 9th. most populated municipality in the state and with that comes an expected level of service by the residents business owners and commuters. So before you throw misinformation out there do so fact checking first.

The Mayor has now twice taken money from the township's savings to balance the budget, all the while continuing to send $100 "vote for me" checks to homeowners 30 days before the election. This is wildly irresponsible. I can't imagine how bad an opposing candidate would have to be before I voted for this geriatric fool. It's time for him to hang it up before he destroys the township's finances permanently.

Well, I've lived in Bensalem for over 50 years. What I've seen change is "log-jam" traffic on Street Rd, thanks to all the restaurants, bars, and office buildings. You can't get from I95 to the Turnpike in under 25 mins. All these new businesses were supposed to bring in new taxes, why does Joe have to raid the savings? Taxes haven't gone up? Checked your sewer and water bill lately? Just because we don't own them anymore doesn't mean their price increases aren't taxes. The casino payment is supposed to be $300, why is it now $100? Joe working in cahoots with Council, I say kick them all out.

There are some undesirables both running the show and also getting favoritism from 20 years of elbow rubbing amongst a few characters who appear to be what they aren't, I'm sure.
Familiarity breeds contempt, and for as long as Joe has been Mayor, it seems the same beady-eyed "entourage" has been riding in his parade. He should be man enough to step down and let some fresh blood flow through Bensalem's veins.
I'm not saying he's done a bad job. But all we know is what the wizard shows from behind the curtain, so to speak.
This is not the Magic Kingdom for illegal aliens. I resent seeing them get educated on our dime (maybe why Bensalem's legal citizens get shorted on school budget monies), using food stamps, stealing jobs, committing crimes (of which I personally know of 4 incidents, 2 of my own and many more relayed to me), driving with no license, insurance, registration, inspection...etc. Crammed into apartments 5-10-15 at a time, while an American family gets evicted for one extra person (I know, I worked at a few complexes over the years)
So tell me, what kind of Mayor allows this to ever even happen and continue to fester. Was under your 20 year watch this occurred, Mr. Mayor?
How much does one get for a wink and a nod and turn a blind eye nowadays, anyway?
Third World Nation coming soon?-----what's needed is a Mayor who gives back those who fought and worked hard to make Bensalem the place it is, not those who steal all they can.

Sorry, but I refuse to watch the inauguration of a man who defiles God's Word with his support of murdering the unborn, and same sex marriage. Please allow me to ask something Mr. Mayor. You claim that the economy is the reason for the condition of the township for the past 5 years, but you still provide a "high level of service". Why is it that the real reason behind this, is that there has been too much overspending, and the high service you claim to have, has either been farmed out to places that offer substandard service with exorbitant prices, the emergency services have either been cut (volunteer fire department funding), or remain the same, despite increased funding from the EMS tax. Most of all the why do you state there are 15 positions you claim to have eliminated, when they NEVER existed to begin with?
How do you explain a public safety director who takes part in this overspending with the paid fire department (Which was founded under questionable circumstances.), slanders an honorable fire company, including its 2 fire chiefs, and last but not least, allows a detective to handle a sex abuse investigation so incompetently, that the sex offender is allowed to CONTINUE molesting young children for years, plus jeopardizing over a dozen other cases??
You publicly stated, that you consider the town, a business, and run it as such. Based on the past 3 plus years of deficits due to overspending, questionable bookkeeping, isn't it time that we say the following quote from Donald Trump and Vince McMahon.....

1. Why the budget has been in a deficit for the past three years, if there is a deficit for this year, and for a DETAILED up to date status of it for each quarter during the year.
2. Ask them what they plan on doing about the Public Safety Director, for his slandering Union Fire Company, its former chiefs, and so much more.
3. When this town is getting reimbursed for the little pet road projects along Route 13 and Along Galloway Rd near the Mayor's street.
4. Why build the $5,000,000 Training Center, that FAILS to meet the training needs of first responders, when if they had waited a couple of years, they could've had one still in bucks county for FREE

Just wanted to straighten out something with this statement.

"Originally, we thought it would make Bensalem proud to have a fire boat in this area." -- Will Kane, president of the Union Fire Co., discussing the controversy surrounding a $1-million vessel obtained by the volunteer fire company, a boat that has a holding cell, a sharpshooter platform, an infrared camera, and a $40,000 gizmo that can find IEDs on the river bottom.

Just so you know, the Marine unit did NOT have a holding cell or a sharpshooter platform. The $40,000.00 gizmo was a sonar unit for finding submerged persons, vehicle and evidence. The grant Union Fire Co. obtained for this boat, was investigated by SEVERAL Federal and State agencies, and NOTHING was found wrong with it. Union fire Company did NOTHING wrong, and the only "controversy" involved in this, is that fact that Haman couldn't get his mitts on that $750,000 grant, so he LIED about Union and the boat. This boat was NOT for Homeland Security, but a RESCUE BOAT.
