REACHING NEW LOWS IN BENSALEM WITH HIS MAJESTY

While surfing through the channels this AM, before heading out for my day, my husband and I encountered a sight that made us really want to barf!! During last night’s council meeting, Sherriff Lobo announced this latest ‘look at me’ ‘elect my master’ stunt, that was outrageous to say the least. Here are some of the highlights I saw from it, that I wanted to share.

During this, Sherriff Lobo insisted that there are no indoor police, when there clearly ARE. Bensalem is the only police department where more than 50% of its sworn officers are not assigned to patrol (the street). Why do we even have these indoor only cops?? They can be put out on patrol, and whatever duties they’re doing can be done by civilians at a much cheaper labor rate!

Also, please explain why they only show up after a crime happens and they do NOTHING to prevent it?? Case in point, what just took place at Santander Bank today!!

He then claimed that the BTPD is in the ‘top 5’ for police departments, which I highly doubt, but he had the nerve to boast about having National Accreditation! Excuse me, but wasn’t it during your tenure as Mayor, that we actually LOST National Accreditation?  When confronted when we lost it, your response was it really didn't matter, it doesn't affect anything! If that is true, why did we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get it back?

Next, he boasted about the DNA facility. He and His majesty boast about this CONSTANTLY and had the audacity to say how it handles autopsies. Let’s get this straight DNA has NOTHING to do with autopsies!! There is much more including Cosmo DiNardo, Walter Meyerele, the Jerri’s and MANY more instances of BTPD incompetence and corruption under His Majesty’s tenure, but it would take too long to list. Do yourself a BIG favor and….

AN INTERESTING QUESTION...

You know, I just thought of something that I had to ask ALL of the Joey D groupies out there, and I pray I get a STRAIGHT answer.

Why would His Majesty want to state that Bryan Allen wanted to lay off police officers, unless there is ANOTHER budget deficit for 2018?? Meanwhile, His Majesty CONTINUES to deny that one exists even now!! I have seen the 2017 budget, and KNOW that there IS a deficit, so please don't try to deny Your Majesty.

Holy Cow, did I ever learn some AWESOME stuff concerning the debate today!! I couldn’t be there personally, because I was in the House of the Lord, but I had some good VERY friends there, and I learned a whole lot from them as to how desperate the mayor REALLY is! Check out what I learned below and see for yourself, just how much we need a REAL leader in this town.

First off, I learned that Bryan kept it together throughout the whole debate, His Majesty didn’t. Bryan stayed firm on EVERY one of his valid accusations, while His Majesty seemed to take everything personal. My friend also noticed that His Majesty was very aggressive towards Bryan, coming to his side angrily to counter a point, and being very intimidating. Too bad for His Majesty that Bryan didn’t fall for it! All throughout this debate, Bryan kept his professional cool, and stood firm against His Majesty’s intimidation tactics. He also wasn’t afraid to raise his voice when needed, to make his points.

It was also noticeable the differences between His Majesty and Bryan, as to how they handled themselves during the debate. Bryan was especially firm, when he insisted that he not only NEVER said he was planning on laying off ANY police, but stood firm on his reasons for voting against a budget that contained too much spending for his comfort. He wanted to make it VERY clear that he was NOT against the homeowner’s rebates, but the overspending taking place, and offered REAL solutions for this unlike His Majesty, who offered NONE!

His Majesty was very pathetic throughout this, as he trotted out his own wife like a trophy, and he even had the nerve to boast about how he’s never taken a vacation in 23 years (Like that means anything!), and he continued to defend having the EIT, despite being the ONLY host community (town with a casino) to enact this! He even has the nerve to say that most of the EIT is money coming back to the Township, but that is a misleading statement because a lot of the EIT is first time payers.

What really took the cake, was how He defended his appointment of DiNardo, because he was an honor student at Holy Ghost. However, the real fun, was how both he, and his supporters were freaking out because Bryan brought up the government cars, perks and other things done for those connected to His Majesty.

It’s important to note that throughout all of this, when asked very important questions, His Majesty had NO valid and honest answers for them. Even more interesting, was the fact that all of His Majesty’s supporters in the audience reacted so poorly when Bryan made a valid point, that the moderator had to admonish them 3 times. If the moderator has to admonish your own supporters Your Majesty, you ARE in TROUBLE!!

I so wish I could’ve been there as a fly on the wall! To see this occur, would’ve been a treat! I wonder if His Majesty had any smoke coming our if his ears, or went into seizures, when confronted on these valid issues in person. It should be very interesting to note, that even Senator Tomlinson had to tell His Majesty to calm down! Looks to me, like the citizens of this town now see through you, and they’ve had it!

Why did Bryan Allen repeatedly vote against the homeowner rebate?  Because he had the guts to realize that the Mayor was spending more money than we were taking In!

 

The one percent EIT is costing the average two income family more than $700.00 per year. (Gee, that's a nice chunk of change!)

The Mayor states that Bryan voted against the give back for years in a row. (Well, I would too, if it involved spending $$ that doesn't belong tome, like a drunk sailor!)

If you add up the three years at $100.00 per year and the political year of $200.00 a year that is a total of $500.00!

If the Mayor would have kept the rebate and eliminated the EIT, the homeowner would have MADE $200.00 on the deal in the first year alone on the EIT!

IT WAS AN ARTICLE ENTITLED MEET THE CANDIDATES, AND FROM WHERE I STOOD, IT WAS REALLY ONE SIDED IN FAVOR OF HIS MAJESTY. IT WAS FULL OF ARROGANT BOASTS CONCERNING HIS MAJESTY, AS WELL AS A GREAT DEAL OF DECEPTION. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE TO SEE THIS, BUT WHILE OUT I HAD ANOTHER WONDERFUL DELIVERY TO MY DOOR FORM OUR HONORABLE FIRST RESPONDERS, AND THEY TOO FOUND THIS ARTICLE FULL OF YOU KNOW WHAT! We are being forced to meet more than once weekly for lunch and to discuss the Mayor’s increasing false statements that he is the best thing since sliced bread for our township. This has resulted in several members of our emergency services group gaining weight!
Let’s review his latest claims to fame an accomplishment in which he shares the credit with NOBODY!
Immediately, he re-opened the budget and took out $5,000,000.00 toward repair of drainage systems and roads. He did that all by himself! In addition, what $5,000,000.00 projects and departments were cut to obtain this $5,000,000.00? IF, as he claims the projects are 75% complete, then why did we need a $60,000,000.00 bond to repair roads?!!!
A sign was hung and small businesses took off? Really?!! Ask the small business owners in our township about their taxes? Ask the day care on Galloway Road that was forced to close so it’s property could be bought up, and the Mayor’s own property next to the daycare, sold to a church lining the Mayor’s pockets.
Adding 25 officers to the force AFTER he sold the public that Parx Casino would not increase crime in our township! Again, Really?!!! In fact, none of the additional officers are assigned to Parx Casino. Why the sudden need for all these additional officers, unless the crime rate in Bensalem has RISEN during your tenure Mr. Mayor? In fact, the crime solving statistics for our department have not changed since the addition of these officers. Mr. Mayor, there are police reports, that the police department was used to INTIMIDATE your political opponents, and in one case threaten a sitting councilman! You were made aware of these incidents and did NOTHING! In fact, you promoted one of the people involved!
Without the EIT, the Mayor stated that 25-30 police officers would have to be laid off! What about other departments in your government Mr. Mayor? Why do YOU feel the need to create fear? Taking yet another page out of the Clinton campaign to get your way! That is sad and pathetic at best!
He claims to have turned an old farm into a modern township building. Once again, he did this all by himself! Why don’t we take a look into who owned that old farm?!
He takes credit for the DNA lab then claims that it will cut down the time for an autopsy to 90 minutes! The DNA lab CANNOT perform autopsies! And he did this all by himself! Either he doesn’t know what DNA is, or he doesn’t know what an autopsy is, or, he doesn’t care about the truth, and he just wants credit for himself!
Why doesn’t anyone ask the Mayor, how much additional money he has made, as a result of being the King of Bensalem?

I JUST READ IT, AND FELT IT WAS SO IMPORTANT, THAT I HAD TO SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF YOU. WHILE MUCH OF THIS IS SOMETHING YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW, HOWEVER THERE ARE SOME NEW THINGS THAT YOU DO NEED TO BE WARE OF, SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE A VERY INFORMED CHOICE COME ELECTION DAY. WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ IS GOING TO SHOCK AND DISGUST YOU, SO BEWARE!!

We met today for lunch and had a few additions to our emergency responder group. For the first time, we have had several active police officers join our group. Things are so bad there that they needed to come forward. For obvious reasons we ate outside the township. They brought up several points that are both alarming and disgusting.
1. The attempt by the Mayor to move the voting location for the Creekside apartments across Street Road. This would require many of the voters to walk across the most dangerous intersection in America! When the case went to Federal Court, one of the township attorney's acting in his capacity as a Bensalem Republican party official and not as one of the township attorneys filed paperwork stating many voters felt unsafe voting in the Creekside apartment complex. When asked in Federal Court to name some of these voters, he could not remember one name! After the township and county government were forced to move the voting location back to the south side of the intersection of Street road and Knights road the police department took NO ACTION to make Creekside apartments safer. Which is it Mr. Mayor?
2. The Mayor spent hundreds of thousands of dollars attempting to block a Mosque being built in our township. Needless to say, they lost that case too in Federal court.
3. Several police officers were instructed to pull trash at the former head of the Democratic party in Bensalem. Several higher ups in the police department told the officers the administrative side of the township government would be VERY PLEASED if they found something in the trash at his home. The officers were so concerned they wrote an incident report for the conversation. Needless to say, the leadership of the police department was not pleased with the documentation of the incident. No further requests to pull the trash at that address were made.
4. When it was discovered that political signs were being stolen by members of the township Republican party on State road, the police department refused to prosecute the subjects involved. Even though they were caught in the process of stealing the signs!
5. When a Democrat put a sticker on the sign of a Republican Candidate, he was charged with criminal mischief! In fact, the case was so important the Director of Public Safety AND the Mayor attended the hearing!
6. We also learned that the Director of Public Safety was videotaped at the Bensalem Country Club drinking beer and other alcohol drinks for several hours. After he was done drinking, he climbed into his township issued SUV and drove away. When the news agency that videotaped the incident contacted the Mayor so he may view the tape, did he view it? No, he did not! What he did do was have yet another one of our township attorney's call the news agency. The lawyer told the news agency the Director of Public Safety can do what he wants with his SUV and that the MAYOR IS NOT interested in viewing the tape!
Pressure and connections to the news agent stopped the tape from being aired!

Now from several sources it is being learned that if the police union supported the Mayor this election day they would receive significant pay raises AND FULL MEDICAL BENEFITS FOR SEVEN YEARS AFTER THEY RETIRE! Considering that the Police Union NEVER interviewed the Democrat candidate for Mayor, how do they know the current Mayor is the best choice! Several members of the police department are disgusted by this news, yet not surprised by the Mayor's conduct.
When his son who was on probation for a felony was arrested for yet another felony while on probation interesting things happened. First the detective assigned to the case said the county was handling the case (which made sense). During the course of this investigation, the Mayor's son moved to Morrisville to live with someone with a prior drug conviction in violation of his probation. Was he arrested for violating his probation? No, he was not. Let's see someone not politically connected try that and see what happens?
Despite being told that the County was handling the case, the detective from Bensalem eventually filed charges against the Mayor's son. The case went to trial and the Mayor's son was found guilty. Did he go to jail for the second felony? No he did not.
The interesting part of this, is the detective who handled the case took the sergeants exam and failed the written portion. The policy for testing is that if you don't pass the written portion of the test, you can’t proceed to the oral portion of the test. Surprisingly, the detective was allowed to take the oral portion of the test and was the last person from the list promoted. Now do you understand the support for the Mayor?!!!
Let's not forget the repeated connections to the DiNardo family that the Mayor continues to lie about!

FIRST OFF, I WANT TO SAY THANKS TO EVERY BRAVE AND HONORABLE FIRST RESPONDER, INCLUDING THE HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THIS TOWN’S POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR SHARING THESE IMPORTANT THINGS WITH US. IT TOOK A GREAT DEAL OF COURAGE TO LET ME AND THE RESIDENTS OF THIS TOWN THIS, AND I FOR ONE GREATLY APPRECIATE THIS. IT’S VERY CLEAR TO ME AS IT MUST BE TO ALL OF YOU, THAT DESPITE ALL THIS, DESPITE THE TRUTH BEING SO OBVIOUS, AND PEOPLE STILL WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY?? THE LIES NEVER END

Looks like I'm not the only one who got this pack of LIES. As usual, The Republicans are using fear tactics and outright LIES, all to avoid the facts!
Despite the rosy picture the township is painting, this town's budget is in an over $6 million-dollar deficit, (I have a copy of the 2017 budget and it shows that we spend so much more than we earn!), and we have a $60 million-dollar debt in the form of a loan for roads!! So, this $51 million-dollar surplus is an absolute joke! I dare anyone to show me specifically from the budget that we have this surplus!!
As for the EIT, Bryan voted against this, because it's another example of overspending. His majesty is using the so-called having to lay off over 30 police officers, to put fear into all of you, and that is an absolute despicable thing to do! When it comes to the accusation that he voted against the $200 homeowners assistance rebate, I find that very hard to swallow, since he was the one who fought for it when his majesty first was going to do away with it after the casino first came here and we were getting the host funds. Bryan has more than brought up raising this up to $300, but apparently you GOP puppets never listen.
I also really find it despicable that these GOP puppets criticize Bryan’s donors, when it's because they're of a different faith than us (Muslim) and that fact that the township lost the case! Clearly these individuals are showing their prejudice which is really atrocious, and also shows how ignorant they are.
While we're at it, let's discuss the accusation of real perks and no-bid contracts they say doesn't exist. They state that one of his mailers showed an escalade, which indicated that Bryan stated that this was the mayor's car. Can you specifically prove that Bryan said this?? From what I saw, it was a representation of how the mayor and his cronies are getting township issued SUV’s, but Bryan never specifically said that the mayor's SUV was an escalade! While we're at it, what about the sweetheart deals to the family of a person in jail for the murder of FOUR men!! His Majesty claims that he doesn't know them, but the evidence shows jut the opposite.
 It's also interesting that several of them compared our township to Bristol Township.  It should be noted that the current manager of Bristol Township is the former manager of Bensalem Township.  Instead of our current Mayor firing our former manager after his third hit and run in a township vehicle, our Mayor allowed him to resign taking with him a $741,000.00 severance package!

Where are all the 'Joey D groupies'?? Where have all the supporters for His Majesty gone?? Justin Davis, Stacey Champion, are you out there?? I've offered on more than one occasion to meet with ANYONE willing to do so, and discuss the FACTS, but no one is willing or brave enough to do so.

C'mon guys!! I'm right here, and more than ready to talk and listen!! Could it be, that fear tactics that you took a page from the DNC handbook, backfiring?? Is the truth is too much to bear?? I guess it would be, especially, when one has RELIABLE sources to back it up.

SO THIS $51 MILLION DOLLAR SURPLUS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! I DARE ANYONE TO SHOW ME SPECIFICALLY FROM THE BUDGET THAT WE HAVE THIS SURPLUS!! REMEMBER, THE MAYOR SUDDENLY DISCOVERED A $9,000,000.00 BUDGET DEFICIT, RIGHT AFTER HIS RE-ELECTION.  WAS HE OR ANYONE ELSE IN HIS ADMINISTRATION HELD ACCOUNTABLE?  NO!       THE MAYOR EVEN HAD ONE OF HIS SUPPORTERS, POST THAT HE FOUND IT ABSOLUTELY OKAY TO DRAW DOWN OUR RESERVE FUND AT A RATE OF $1,600,000.00 PER YEAR TO SUPPORT THE MAYOR'S UNAFFORDABLE, EXTRAVAGANT BUDGET! THIS ON TOP OF THE EXTRA $11,000,000.00 PLUS WE GET FROM THE CASINO AND THE EIT! WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MONEY RUNS OUT THOSE THAT SUPPORT THE MAYOR?

WHEN IT COMES TO THE ACCUSATION THAT HE VOTE AGAINST THE $200 HOMEOWNERS ASSISTANCE REBATE, I FIND THAT VERY HARD TO SWALLOW, SINCE HE WAS THE ONE WHO FOUGHT FOR IT WHEN HIS MAJESTY FIRST WAS GOING TO DO AWAY WITH IT AFTER THE CASINO FIRST CAME HER AND WE WERE GETTING THE HOST FUNDS. BRYAN HAS MORE THAN BROUGHT UP RAISING THIS UP TO $300, BUT APPARENTLY YOU GOP PUPPETS NEVER LISTEN.
I ALSO REALLY FIND IT DESPICABLE THAT THESE GOP PUPPETS CRITICIZE BRYAN'S DONORS, WHEN IT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE OF A DIFFERENT FAITH THAN US (MUSLIM) AND THAT FACT THAT THE TOWNSHIP LOST THE CASE! CLEARLY THESE INDIVIDUAS ARE SHOWINF THEIR PREJUDICE WHICH IS REALLY ATTROCIOUS, AND ALSO SHOWS HOW IGNORANT THEY ARE.

THEY STATE THAT ONE OF HIS MAILERS SHOWED AN ESCALADE, WHICH INDICATED THAT BRYAN STATED THAT THIS WAS THE MAYOR'S CAR. CAN YOU SPECIFICALLY PROVE THAT BRYAN SAID THIS?? FROM WHAT I SAW, IT WAS A REPRESENTATION OF HOW THE MAYOR AND HIS CRONIES ARE GETTING TOWNSHIP ISSUED SUV'S, BUT BRYAN NEVER SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT THE MAYOR'S SUV WAS AN ESCALADE! HOWEVER, I CAN STATE THAT IT IS A FORD, AND ALL THE DEPARTMENT HEADS GOT THE SAME TYPE OF SUV! EVEN THE PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR!!

We were reading posts of the Bryan Allen for Mayor Facebook page and were amazed at the attacks by those supporting the 24-year entrenched politician that has done so much damage.
Several of them claimed Bryan was against the police. NO WHERE has it ever been stated that Bryan was against the police! Bryan IS against frivolous spending. This is another fear tactic taken from the Hillary campaign manual!
As long time Republicans we are amazed that the local Democrats are the ones promoting smaller government, term limits and accountability and the local Republicans are spouting fear tactics!
These defenders of our current Mayor (many like Paul Lacerte who posted about Bryan not liking the police) received a job within the police department that was not advertised to the general public!
The facts are quite simple, the Mayor has been using our reserve fund at an admitted rate by one of his supporters of $1,600,000.00 per year (though we know it is much higher) to fill budget gaps he created with needless purchases and politically appointed people to the township payroll (example: The Director of Public Work's wife to a position within License and Inspection that she has since retired from).
We are the ONLY community in the entire state that added an Earned Income Tax AFTER receiving host casino money! More importantly, there is yet another budget gap that cannot be filled with the reserve funding which will result in an increase in the Earned Income Tax which our current administration and the Rubber Stamp Republicans on the Council refuse to discuss!
Former Councilman Szafran did raise this issue before leaving office. He was shut down by the township solicitor!
The Republicans are using fear tactics to avoid facts!
It is interesting that several of them compared our township to Bristol Township. It should be noted that the current manager of Bristol Township is the former manager of Bensalem Township. Instead of our current Mayor firing our former manager after his third hit and run in a township vehicle, our Mayor allowed him to resign taking with him a $741,000.00 severance package!  


HOW LOW CAN THEY GO!! EVIDENTLY VERY LOW BY THE LOOKS OF THIS. Just received something rather interesting in the mail involving the recent TV ad that His Majesty had put out Tuesday. According to a VERY concern citizen, His Majesty and his female puppet candidate for council, Joanne Fields, are trying to convince people to vote for them, or should I say HIM! He's even been seen on local cable stations, and even FOX News pandering for votes!!

His Majesty must be VERY desperate to use Ms. Fields as his own personal prop, so he can get re-elected, but even more desperate to outright LIES about Bryan Allen, especially pertaining to the police. I guess that he doesn’t want the citizens of this town to know, that his ‘endorsement’ by the police and fire unions, is unethical, and a conflict of interest. Clearly this is another example of how egotistical His Majesty truly is. Most of all, we’re seeing just how LOW His Majesty will go, to get his way!!

UNDENIABLE FACTS!!

FOUND THIS ON MY DOORSTEP A FEW MINUTES AGO. LOOKS LIKE THE FIRST RESPONDERS, IN PARTICULAR, THE HONORABLE ONES, ARE VERY FIRED UP AND WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS. I PRAY THAT BRYAN ALLEN AND THE BENSALEM DEMOCRATS SEE THIS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, SO THAT THIS NEVER OCCURS AGAIN!

After re-reading the propaganda from the Mayor. We found a fact he cannot back away from.
It was the MAYOR and the Director of Public Safety who summoned the Chief and President of each volunteer fire company in the township to a meeting. Prior to the meeting, the MAYOR and the Director of Public Safety REFUSED to tell the volunteer firefighters what the meeting was about.
When the volunteer firefighters got to the meeting, The MAYOR and the Director of Public Safety announced that they were taking thousands of dollars from each fire company to support the illegal, paid fire company. There was NO discussion, the MAYOR said it had to be done! Where was his concern for public safety? The Council had NOTHING to do with the decision, it was ALL the MAYOR and the Director of Public Safety's doing.

Of course, the MAYOR and the Public Safety Director got brand new, and not needed expensive SUV's that year!
The fire companies had to fight for years to get the funding back.
In fact, the Director of Public Safety even tried to take some of the volunteer fire companies Foreign Insurance Tax (relief money) too. When it was discovered that he could not, because the illegal, paid fire company did not meet the requirements to receive the money, he dropped it.

I HAPPPEN TO REMEMBER THIS FACT VERY WELL, AND REMEMBER HOW HIS MAJESTY AND LOBO TRIED DENYING THIS. I EVEN REMEMBER THEIR STATING SOME RATHER QUESTIONABLE AND SUSPECT THINGS, PERTAINING TO THE FUNDING FOR THE PAID FIRE DEPARTMENT. THINGS THEY INSISTED ON DENYING DURING MY QUESTIONING OF THIS IN A COUNCIL MEETING QUITE A WHILE BACK. THEY EVEN STILL CLAIM THAT THE PAID FIRE DEPARTMENT IS ‘EXEMPT’ FROM THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT. HOW CAN ONE BE EXEMPT FROM A FEDERAL LAW?? FACE FACTS YOUR MAJESTY…

APPARENTLY, THEY GOT THE SAME PACK OF LIES I DID ABOUT BRYAN ALLEN, AND THEY AS FIRST RESPONDERS WANTED TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. After we all got our propaganda mail from the Mayor, we decided to meet for lunch. It continues to amaze us that our Mayor puts himself above and before any other candidate running for election!
     Fact: Bryan Allen did not vote against funding the police department. He did vote against spending money we do not have. When Bryan Allen questioned our Mayor about the loss of Accreditation, the Mayor said it was ‘unnecessary’. Then, when the Mayor agreed to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get it back, and Bryan Allen questioned the need, what was the Mayor’s response? The Mayor said we 'needed' it! 
     What was even more pathetic about this, was how the Republican Rubber Stamp Council, had no questions! The Mayor truly enjoys creating fear. Is that what we really want from our Mayor?
      Remember when the Mayor suddenly discovered a $9,000,000.00 budget deficit, right after his re-election.? Was he or anyone else in his administration held accountable? No! In fact, several got unnecessary salary increases for doing such ‘fine’ work! Where were the four Republican Rubber Stamp Councilmen? Silent of course, as instructed by the Mayor.
      The Mayor even had one of his supporters, post that he found it absolutely okay to draw down our reserve fund at a rate of $1,600,000.00 per year to support the Mayor's unaffordable, extravagant budget! This on top of the extra $11,000,000.00 plus we get from the casino and the EIT! What happens when the money runs out? Where will those that support the Mayor be? 
     
   Now this sad, desperate Mayor takes a page from the Hillary campaign, and tries to create fear, by saying Bryan Allen doesn't support our police! What Bryan Allen does support is a well-funded, properly equipped police department that our community can actually afford.   
Spreading false information about Bryan Allen, AND creating fear is the sign of an entrenched politician that is afraid of losing the job he has held way too long!

LIE 1:

MONEY MAGAZINE TOP 50 PLACES TO LIVE IN AMERICA

Just one problem with this statement, Your Majesty. You left out "according to Bensalem Money Magazine". In other words, YOU MADE IT UP. According to the Mayor this was in 2014. What happened Mr. Mayor, even the Bensalem Money Magazine doesn't rank us anymore? Or is it because people actually read the fine print on your claim and discovered the scam?

LIE 2:

BUILT A ‘STATE OF THE ART’ FIRE AND EMERGENCY TRAINING FACILITY

It is true you built a fire and emergency training facility. You spent 5.3 million dollars to build it EVEN after you were told the County would be building a free training center that the firefighters can actually conduct live fire training exercises with State certified instructors at no cost to the fire departments! You did however get our community recognized as the owners of a fire training center that firefighters cannot train with live fire! This training center is known throughout the State as the "great white elephant at the end of the turnpike"

LIE 3:

BENSALEM IS A 'GREAT PLACE TO LIVE', BECAUSE IT'S 'SAFE'

At the time you were pushing for the casino you said it would not affect crime in our township. Either crime has gone up from the casino or you lied when you said it would not go up. We did notice that incident report numbers have not varied more than 1-2 thousand in the last 40 years, until you told the Director of Public Safety to increase the numbers. Exactly what have these 25 additional officers done to reduce crime in our community? Cost versus gain Mr. Mayor. My big question on this your majesty, is this: If Bensalem is such as great and safe place to live, then why is there no attempt to PREVENT crime? Why does it take so long for the police to respond, despite having these 25 extra police?? Also, why do we have specifically indoor cops?? Last but certainly NOT least, if this town is so safe, then why was an individual like Cosmo DiNardo allowed to roam around free??

LIE 4:

23 YEARS WITHOUT A TAX INCREASE.

I guess you forgot about the tax increase for EMS. Or the sudden E.I.T. last November that you discovered after submitting your budget! What about the fact we pay more for trash pickup because it’s not included in our township taxes? Please feel free to contact our surrounding municipalities to see what they are paying. Taking an additional $100.00 (except during your election years) from the homeowner grant program IS a tax increase! BTW… this was supposed to be $500, but when told there would be none, Bryan Allen HIMSELF fought to get one, and it was then made $300. Let’s not forget the "sudden and surprising" need to fill a $9,000,000.00 budget deficit with an earned income tax. When are you going to tell people about the next "sudden and surprising" need to increase the E.I.T. due to yet another budget gap? Wait, we bet it is after November 7th!
