In light of all the interesting things going on within Bensalem Township, I thought of these important questions that we as concerned citizens need to ask of those running for council and school board. Here they are below:
QUESTIONS
TO ASK OF SCHOOL BOARD
1. Why are only certain individuals
getting jail time, while others like the head of the facilities department do
not?
2. Can anyone explain why one of the
defendants involved was allowed to cash out his sick time BEFORE being arrested
and charged, to pay back what he stole??
3. What is the ACTUAL amount that
was stolen from the school district in this matter?
4.
Why would the all Republican school board appoint an UNQUALIFIED township councilman to head the
facilities department considering that the last unqualified, politically
connected person that was placed there was involved in the thefts in the first
place??
QUESTIONS
TO ASK OF COUNCIL
1.
How does the council continue
to draw down the reserve funds of the township to cover the gap in the budget
even after receiving over $11,000,000.00 in extra revenue from Parx? Speaking of which, where exactly is the revenue
from Parx going, and what is it being used for??
2.
Why does the township refuse to
allow anyone to see the ordinance that they are FINALLY
attempting to pass to make the paid fire department legal?
3. When will ANYONE from the public
be allowed to see a copy of the following:
A. SAFER grant
B. Township’s Emergency Management
Plan
4. Why did the township approve the building of an
over $5 million dollar fire training center, when it cannot burn practice
fires?? IF you would’ve waited, you would’ve had one in Croydon that would be
for FREE.
5.
Why are they hiring a Fire
Service Director for the Township if we already have a Public Safety Director?
