EVERYBODY HATES FREDDIE EPISODE 22 WHO WILL TAKE A STAND

Had a very interesting day today, and when I got home, I found this little item at my doorstep. I guess the honorable first responders of this town, are ticked off with the paid fire department, and from what I see, with GOOD reason. After all, it seems they’ve had it with certain individuals getting away with criminal acts, because no one does anything about it, and who would blame them? Once you read this, you’ll more than understand…
We had our monthly breakfast meeting today. We thought we would review the current situation with the volunteer fire departments and the paid fire department. What we found was amazing to say the least. The very things that Fred Harran went on T.V. to say were the reasons that they shut down the Union Fire Company are actually being done and continue to be done by the paid fire company with a few more disturbing add...itions.
1. Responding with two or less firefighters on the apparatus. This happens to occur EVERYDAY that the paid fire department is on duty.
2. Unsafe practices. Paid firefighter enters a burning apartment building without his protective gloves on because he wants to beat the volunteer firefighters in and gets burns to his hands.
3. Responding to emergency scenes and not reported in to be accounted for.
4. They were responding outside the township when they were hired to protect the township during the day when volunteer firefighter manpower is reduced. Giving credit where credit is due, thank you Councilman Knowles for putting a stop to this practice when the director of public safety refused to do so!
5. Failing to maintain minimum training and physical standards.
6. Violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by employee paid firefighters that are also volunteer firefighters in the township. Council and Mayor are aware and refuse to act.
7. Repeatedly “freelancing on structure fires and accident scenes” in violation of NFPA standard 1500.
8. Going from a volunteer firefighter to a paid firefighter at the same incident because the clock struck 7:00 AM!
9. Assaulting volunteer firefighters and damaging their vehicles. The director of public safety refused to investigate or prosecute the paid firefighter, despite numerous witnesses and evidence.
10. The paid fire fighters encourage members of the rescue squad to “freelance” at structure fires instead of maintaining their EMS status at the scene.

Ultimately, Union Fire Company was exonerated, and thanks again to Councilman Knowles, Sherriff Lobo’s EVIL plan to close Union down was stopped, and the new president of Union Fire Company refuses to take ANY of Lobo’s antics. Sounds to me, like the paid fire department is the real guilty party, and is the real one in need of being investigated. Problem is that since its Sherriff Lobo’s little pet, NOTHING will ever be done about it. That is unless someone grows a spine and DOES DO SOMETHING!!Question is.......

WHO WILL????
