Anyone with half a brain can see this is nothing more than a "feel good move being used as an attempt to re-elect Joey D. If you really read this article carefully, you will see that the bulk of these guns cam from areas OTHER than Bensalem, were also broken, and/or useless, and OLD. Nabal's boasting of this being a "good thing" is so way off base its pathetic. None of this will do anything to make this town safe, neither will this work for "His Majesty".
I highly applaud the 2nd Amendment Group who showed, and will show to the next one, for their sincere generosity, and willingness in buying these guns for more than what the township was offering. They too see through this charade, as many others did and I applaud them for this. I also applaud "Jessup" for the following statement:
"Hats off to the guys who were making a pro-gun presence at this dog-and-pony show, and hats off to George Mattar for giving them decent and respectful coverage. I hope the pro-gun guys make a decent enough profit on the guns they outbid the cops for, to encourage them to keep it up.
A similar pro-gun effort led to the shutdown of these charades in the Lehigh Valley a little more than a decade ago, and all that was done there were appraisals of the values of the guns people were turning in, to persuade them to take them to dealers and get their true money's worth."

You are so right, it was a "dog and pony show". One that only Joey D could pull. However, this time the loyal subjects are on to you "Your Majesty" and they see through your lies.
