This is why Christmas is so vital to me, and why I will not be ashamed or afraid to declare the name of JESUS!! The following below is something from Franklin Graham, that needs to be said during this time of year, and I pray that it rings as true to you as it does me.
“Have you ever thought about the cost of Christmas? I’m not talking about the cost when the credit card bills come i...n January. I’m talking about the cost of God sending His only Son to save us: the cost of the Lord Jesus leaving His throne in heaven to come to this earth as a baby born of a virgin. When you think of the first Christmas, think of what Jesus gave up to come into poverty. The Bible says he was “despised and rejected by man, a man of sorrows acquainted with grief” He was born to die—to be the sacrifice for my sin and yours. God willingly sent His Son on a rescue mission for mankind. This Christmas consider God’s incredible love shown by the great price He paid to redeem you--- and thank Him!!”
Tonight, I invite you all to experience that same joy, that same peace, and more so, by making that decision to accept Christ as your Savior today. You see we are all lost in sin, and God stated that a price, a ransom needed to be paid for our sins, because otherwise we would all wind up lost in Hell forever, so God the Son, Jesus Himself stepped in and said “I’ll do it!” How, you ask?? He did this, by coming to Earth in the form of a human infant, (THE WORD MADE FLESH!!), lived among us as a SINLESS human being, and He WILLINGLY gave His life, by dying on a rugged NASTY cross for the sins of the world. This includes both YOU and ME!! HE died, was buried, and rose again 3 days later, proving that He has power over sin, and death, as well as Satan, but most of all is the Son of God! He is now at the right hand of God the Father and is also at the door of your heart asking to be let in!! I urge you, to call on His name today, seek His face, ask Him to forgive you of whatever sins you’ve committed and He WILL forgive it!! He doesn’t care what you’ve done, where you’re from, or anything about you, just that you let Him in your heart. Come and let Jesus set you free, and accept Christ as your Savior today.
