This man is one of
the most pathetic butt-kissers among the mayor’s cronies. About once a
year, before becoming a member of council, Belfield would appear before Council
during public comment in a pre-planned and rehearsed dog and pony show. In
these presentations, Belfield slovenly sings the praises of “His Majesty”, and
his little speeches are condescending to the public. He acts like a little
puppy at the feet of his master, Henry VIII, and does whatever the mayor wants,
whenever he wants. This was especially evident, not only with the way “His Majesty”
has been handling the budget deficits over the past three years, but also when
it came to Union Fire Company.
I and others distinctly remember this man
sitting idly by with “His Majesty”, and Haman openly siding with them against this
honorable fire company, at the meeting in Pen Ryn Mansion in 2011. It’s also a
fact that when many of Union’s members went to him, and other members of
council, to get assistance concerning Haman’s ILLEGAL actions towards them,
that he like the other members of council, DID NOTHING to help them! Then the
following year, Haman went after Union AGAIN, and this time attempted to shut
it down PERMANENTLY!! During a closed door council meeting, it was initially
tied in the votes as to whether or not to grant Haman’s wish, when a certain
other council member had his own brother intervene on this, and for the first
time ever, they all went against “His Majesty” and Haman!!
Despite the timely intercession, the damage
has been done, especially to honorable people like Vince Troisi, as well as
Dave Jerri, Jr. and Sr. Both father and son, have had to fight to repair the
damage done to their reputations, including filing a civil lawsuit against the
ENTIRE council, “His Majesty” and Haman!! All because people like Bellfield
refused to help these honorable individuals. Now this man wants us to re-elect
him??
