TRUE GRACE

This is from a Brother in Christ, and close family friend. He describes Ephesians 2:8-9 in such an awesome way, that I had to share.

GRACE
SAVING GRACE : Eph 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."
SOMEONE HAS SPELLED out the word "g...race" to say that:
G - stands for Gift, the principle of grace;
R - for Redemption, the purpose of grace;
A - for Access, the privilege of grace;
C - for Character, the product of grace;
E - for Eternal Life, the prospect of grace.

The old words "saved" and "salvation" are practically out of use in many quarters nowadays. To ask "Are you saved?" is quite obsolete and is left mostly to enthusiastic young soulwinners of the more aggressive sects. But it is a good New Testament word still. Of course, a generation that does not realize that it is lost has no appreciation for the need of being saved.
It is by grace, God's unmerited favor, that we are saved, delivered from judgment and made partakers of salvation. It is through our faith; and this salvation is not of our own doing, it is the gift of God.
We are not merely salvaged, we are saved. God did not pay such a price merely to shine us up a bit, to add His righteousness to our own and thus make it acceptable.
We are lost, condemned, dead, without God and without hope, lepers, enemies of the Truth. God makes a new creature. Was it Phillips Brooks who called grace "Great Redemption at Christ's Expense"? Whoever it was, that is what it is!

It is because of God's grace that we have salvation, and not because of anything we've earned. NOTHING we say or do, can save us. Only Christ can (John 14:6). This is YOUR opportunity to receive the GREATEST gift known to man, and that is salvation through the name of Jesus!! He stands at the door of your heart ready, willing, and able to come in.... Here is something to show you how you can be saved. Pray this prayer with sincerity, and Jesus WILL save you.
“Dear Lord Jesus,

I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.
In your name, Amen.”

The question is, will you let Him in today?? Call on His name, and ask Jesus to save you TODAY, before it's too late!!
