AFTER the election, a tax increase is on its way. They are going to claim they have not raised taxes in decades, but the reality of it is that they have been receiving an additional 10 million plus for the last 7 years, while we pay through the nose for water and sewer since the sale of the water and sewer plant. We even pay higher costs for trash pickup then any township that has it included in their taxes!!
Our police department has almost doubled in size with NO significant crime increase. The department has been averaging the same amount of calls for the last three plus decades. Now they are taking incident numbers for everything trying to justify their increased numbers, despite the fact that their crime clearance rate has NOT improved despite the increase in personnel. The paid fire department is a disaster and cannot be funded without taking even more money away from the volunteer fire companies.
Congratulations you are about to get what you deserve for not paying attention!!
WELL, HERE IT IS PLAIN AS DAY; WE ARE OFFICIALLY GETTING A TAX INCREASE!! I GUESS THE EXTRA SEWAGE, WATER, AND TRASH PICK UP PAYMENTS WERE AN UNOFFICIAL ONE, HUH "YOUR MAJESTY"?? GUESS YOU'RE REALIZING NOW, THAT YOU CAN'T KEEP TAKING FROM THE RESERVE FUND ANYMORE AND GET AWAY WITH IT. NOW THE POOR CITIZENS OF THIS TOWN HAVE TO BEAR THE BURDEN OF YOUR IRRESPONSIBILITY, INCLUDING THE DEBACLE OF A POLICE AND PAID FIRE DEPARTMENT. OF COURS YOU'LL BLAME HAMAN, BUT YOU KEPT HIM AROUND ALL THIS TIME, DESPITE THE QUESTIONABLE INFORMATION WTHIN THE SAFER GRANT, AND THE EVIL WAY HE TREATED UNION FIRE CO. AND ITS CHIEFS.
