Check
this wonderful and powerful letter from Franklin Graham. In it, he
expresses the importance of voting according to God's standards, and NOT
along party lines. I think my favorite part in this letter, is the
following:
"Christians need to be careful how they vote this fall,
not just nationally, but also on the state and local levels. What are
the candidates' positions on issues in our culture
that are clearly
addressed in the Word of God? We need to elect leaders who believe in
the sanctity of life, and who defend and fight for God's definition of
marriage between one man and one woman."
Let me also include this.
We also need to elect officials who value justice, and stand for what is
right. Officials who live what they believe and practice, and act with
true honor and integrity. I cannot and WILL NOT vote for any candidate,
who disrespects women, people of other races, creeds, sexual
orientation, their spouses, and the people they are supposed to lead.
