Prayer:

O Lord, we have failed our children miserably. We have not trained them up in the way they should go, in the paths of righteousness that seek You first in all things. Instead, we have let them follow the desires of their heart, leading to a path of ultimate destruction. Father, forgive us for forsaking these precious treasures You have placed in our care. We come boldly before the throne, Heavenly Father, to ask You to intervene on our behalf. We place our young children in Your hands, that they might come to know You early and worship You all the days of their lives. For our children who are older, please help us to model habits that are pleasing unto You, that our children might know the path that leads to righteousness. Help us not to become discouraged when we fail, but rather to diligently seek Your instruction and follow Your plan for our lives and the lives of our children. Please cover them with Your protection in their going out and their coming in. May Your guiding hand be upon them, and may all that they do honor You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER:
THE BIBLE STATES THAT "LO, CHILDREN ARE AN HERITAGE OF THE LORD: AND THE FRUIT OF THE WOMB IS HIS REWARD."(PSALM 127:3). UNFORTUNATELY, WE ARE NOT TREATING HIS HERITAGE WITH RESPECT OR DIGNITY. ON ONE END, TO AVOID BEING ABUSIVE, WE ARE ALLOWING THEM TO GET AWAY WITH THE WORST THINGS POSSIBLE, BY NOT DISCIPLINING THEM AT ALL. WE LET THEM DISRESPECT AUTHORITY, OR TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR PARENTS "CONNECTIONS" TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, BY USING THEM IN A MANNER THAT DISHONORS THE LORD AND THE TOWNSPEOPLE THEY LIVE AMONGST. WE THEN HAVE PARENTS WHO COMPLETELY VICTIMIZE AND ABUSE THEIR PRECIOUS GIFTS FROM GOD LIKE THEY WERE CATTLE TO BE BEATEN AT EVERY TURN. PARENTS WHO ARE IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY WITHIN GOVERNMENT WHO DISHONOR THEIR DAUGHTERS, AND FEMALE FAMILY MEMBERS, BY SEXUALLY VIOLATING THEM, AND DEGRADING THEM BY COMMITTING ADULTERY IN THEIR PRESENCE. LORD, OPEN OUR EYES TO THE GIFTS THAT WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY YOU, AND HELP US TO BE THE GODLY EXAMPLES FOR THEM THAT WE SHOULD BE. LET OUR ACTIONS MATCH OUR WORDS, SO THAT THEY WILL FOLLOW YOU, AND BE DISAPPOINTED IN US. THANK YOU FOR THESE WONDERFUL GIFTS YOU HAVE LOANED OT US,AND LET US BE GOOD STEWARDS OF THEM TO YOU.
