A Double Standard??

This was written by a friend of mine, who offered a very interesting perspective on the incident involving Qur'an burnings.

Frank Queen Jr.
Was pondering our president's apology to Afghanistan of the inadvertent burning of Qur'ans. Not trying to be critical of the man but just pondering something. During his administrations, both liberal groups and Islamists have burned the Christian Bible- there was no apology to Christians. Does his apology send the message the Qur'an is somehow more holy or above the Christian Bible? Probably not his intent, but to me, it seems to send that message. One might even make the 1st amendment argument that by apologizing in the case of the Qur'an, but not in the case of burned Bibles, the gov't is favoring one religion over another- something that usually bothers most liberals when Christianity receives any type of nod from a gov't official. Was just curious what others thoughts were on this. Like I said, was just something I was pondering.
